| By the way, I will be on vacation next week and I'm not sure of the internet access where I'm staying. If you don't hear from me, go ahead and NPC Lith for a while. |
I actually DO know everything. I just have a very poor index of my knowledge.

Good point. I'm on a trip Sunday-Tuesday, so I'll be around tomorrow and then nothing until Wednesday. But if we encounter someone in dire need of being stabbed, Barshevy has my permission to god-mod Nagrath. |
Doggedly converting 3e back to what D&D should be... Sigh... And now 4e as well. |

Echoes Ashe, I'm off to Boston come Thursday afternoon/evening until Sunday afternoon/night, so I was going to say the same thing. :) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

But I fear at some point Nagrath will realize that just about everyone needs to be stabbed. At least once. |

| Party xp for this encounter is 380. I'll add these to the totals towards the end of the second part of our adventure. |

Hopefully, this latest post of mine will give an insight into how Valthorin's mind works and some of his deeper thoughts. I hope you all don't think it odd or anything. |

Nope, made sense to me. :)
I was pondering have Cyr leave myself but figured maybe she'd better stay after what happened last time she missed some of the meeting at the Old Skull. |

| BTW, who would like to have the ring of protection +1, now that it is known as such? |

I think we decided that Lith would get it, and give Nagrath her ring of fire resistance.
Also, this is my last post until Wednesday. But, like the meeting with Lhaeo, Nagrath is going to sit and listen for at the start and only speak later. |

| Apologies for the delay. I won't have anything until tonight. I'm on a bunch of other games that are very slow posting, but then happened to all update at once yesterday, so that ate up my free time. |

| No problem. It's kind of a "slow" week for everyone (busy in real life, no doubt.) |

| Hi all. I'm back, and I've caught up with the in-game thread. I don't have anything to post atm, but I'm back from my trip and back to my normal schedule, so posts will show up as needed. |

| Sorry for the delayed posting. It's been busy, IRL, and I have perhaps too many games I'm participating as a PC as well. |

No worries, IRL trumps games in my opinion. The PHP will be here and most people are on vacation it seems anyways so no harm done. Take as much time as you need at this point I'm playing catch up myself. I might just wait until we all head back to the Old Skull Inn before posting anything in character, because most that was worth saying already has been brought up.
On a side-note, just assume my character has been listening and backs Lith's decision. Then gnome punts Nagrath off to Mourngrym to be his problem. :P
Just kidding, Hoondatha. Anyways, feel free to move us on to the Old Skull Inn when ready. |

Heh. It's not often another character tries to kick mine from the group. I guess I must be playing my Cha, kit, and alignment properly... |

Thanks.
It's funny, the PHB warns that evil party members aren't a good idea in a good party. They're much less noisy about the reactions a chaotic character can evoke in a mostly-lawful party. |

Welcome back, Kuje!
And so it seems Valthorin will be heading back home to Evereska. He'll see if there will be any caravans from Shadowdale heading near Evereska and join up with them if he can. Hopefully, it won't be a caravan of gnomes. Drow? No problem!! Gnomes? I think I'll catch the next one, thanks. |

Well don't count him out just yet Valak is going to have a word with Valthorin to get him to his senses.

Careful, GK! Saying one thing to one person and another to another? We may be knocking you away from your Lawful side a lot faster than we're pulling you to Good! |

LOL that's very true!
Well, providing Valthorin doesn't lose his head to Valak's blade, he may be traveling with the group again. Who knows how this will turn out? I can't wait to see! |

| The ironic thing is that nothing Nagrath has done would warrant a batted eye from a Dales court. The closest thing might have been "killing" the doppleganger, but Mourngrym's already explicitly said, to Nagrath no less! that there's been no crime for him to lock them up. So with all his blathering about justice, Valthorin actually has no case. He doesn't like what Nagrath's done, which is completely fair. But criminal? Not in these dales, not at this time. |

Well, hopefully Lith will add to the scales to keep Valth around.
And I like the challenge of seeing how we can keep Nagrath on the straight and narrow while he travels with us. Maybe a leash tied to Valak? |
