| Barshevy, I sent you a character picture. I'm not sure I like it, but it'll work for now until/unless I find something better. |
Doggedly converting 3e back to what D&D should be... Sigh... And now 4e as well. |

Hi all. Lifelong FR fan who is new to the forums, and I'm pretty excited about what I've read here. Looks like I discovered the site about one week too late to get in on this. Just registered so I haven't seen any of the IC posts yet but I'll heading there soon.
Barshevy, I would be incredibly interested in joining a second campaign or this original should a spot open up for some reason. I grew up on 2E rules (in fact have played nothing else) and have alot of published material from that era. I'll be sure to keep an eye out here for developments on a possible second campaign. |

I'm a bit confused. :) Thought my char was at Storm's.....
So, I'll just play it that Cyr wasn't involved with the common room scene....
Less I'm mistaken. |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

| You can choose to go back to the Old Skull Inn (which the druids have asked you to do) or sleep and miss it. Either way is fine. |

Ah, sorry. Guess I wasn't paying as much attention as I thought I was, didn't think the meeting was that night. :)
Embarrassed.
Edit: But okies, I'll figure out what she's doing. |

| No problem. Also, everyone gets to respond to Lhaeo's entrance, if they want. Please indicate if you just want to stay silent. |

| Been without internet since the close of the contest, and traveling today. Will check in again later tonight. And since Nagrath was just going to sit and listen at the beginning of the conversation, and I probably wouldn't have posted until about this point anyway, I don't mind. |

| Barshevy, I just noticed on the spreadsheet it says my age is 25 and I forgot to write down my age on my character sheet (of all the things to forget), but was under the impression I was younger than that. Is that the right age I put down or is Valak younger? |

| I'm back, and I'm up to date on the thread again, but Nagrath is waiting for Lhaeo to speak before speaking again. Just fyi. |

That was a guess on my part. What is Valak's age? |

| Cool. Thanks for changing that. Also if that pic is being overly difficult to acquire for google. I think I'm using on my profile Cleric 12 pic (or one of them not sure if that is the right number off the top of my head) here on CK if it would be easier to put up on the spreadsheet. |

| Barshevy, how much has Valak heard on the Lord Randal Morn, if anything? Is he known to be a just and fair man, or a petty lord that cheats peoples of their just rewards? Just figured if I would help out if I can in this scenario. Again only if Valak has knowledge of his deeds/character from stories. |

No problems at all with the pic you sent me. I just haven't gotten around to putting it up. |

He's a Robin Hood kind of character. Everyone thinks he's a hero, though most have never actually benefited from his opposition to the Zhentarim. If anything, it's made life worse. The Zhentarim has stopped protecting the steadings and hamlets of Daggerdale in punishment for their support of Morn. They've been at the mercy of wild animals and monsters ever since.

That's cool, no rush was intended. Just figured I'd give you a second option just in case.
As for potions, Nagrath and Lith have one, and if no one objects to Cyr carrying the last one, she'll be carrying it.
Nagrath: LOL, awesome work with the 6 charisma. I don't think I've ever seen someone pull it off so well. Good work! Blunt, crude, and rude can't ever go wrong with it. |

But smart too: all of his points were valid, if inelegantly phrased.
Thanks, I rather enjoyed writing that bit. |

Yeah, well played. I'm still working on my character's cold and calculating mindset which is a result of his kit.
Also liking how we've got some character bonding going on.
I'm just waiting for the adventure kick off:
Keldon: "If you don't mind, could everyone stay about 30 feet away from me." Party: "Why?" Keldon: "No reason, just a thought."
queue slow build of paranoia. |

Yes, Hoon, good job on Nagrath!
The dynamics are definitely going to be interesting in the group. I know Lith sees a bit of herself in Cyr. And she's not quite trusting Valak since he tends to act like a Zhent right now... |
I actually DO know everything. I just have a very poor index of my knowledge.

Eh, Lawful Neutral what can I say?
As it progresses I'm sure Valak will become less Zhentish to the group. However, at least you know you have someone on your side that can probably exploit their point of view and ambitions!
Speaking on Valak's behalf, he pretty much thinks the group is well balanced for the task ahead. I think it will be interesting how the group develops as we adventure. I think probably Valak will be at ends with some people in the group via difference of opinions a lot.
However, I'm the type of roleplayer that I start with a general concept then build on top of it as I go. So if you guys convince him in character to abandon his mercenary ideals (that was drilled into his head in his training) that he might become good in the extreme case or, at the very least, lean more to good intentions.
Aside from all that I think we have a great group assembled. |

I don't know why, but this is reminding me of the movie Dorkness Rising. I suggest you all check it out on YouTube if you haven't already. I thought it was very comical and almost spot on with some groups I've been in for D&D. |
