Hey everyone, I finally finished up the pet project I've been working on for a while now. It's a live action Drizzt short that is up on YouTube surrounding the events from Streams of Silver (and somewhat The Halfling's Gem). Because of logistical limitations (locations, scheduling, special effects) not all of the events fit the books exactly. We did everything we could to at least keep it true to the spirit of the originals. Hope you enjoy!

Good work! Very entertaining!
And what a beautiful cat!! The only thing I did not like was wulfgar's Hammer, it's missing a pointed end and a round face.
Great job. |

My latest Realms-based short story, about a bard, a paladin of Lathander and the letter of the law, Debts Repaid. It takes place before the "shattering" and gives the bard Arion a last gasp before he plunges into the present.http://candlekeep.com/campaign/logs/log-debts.htm |

why is being a wizard like being a drow? both are likely to find a dagger in the back from a rival or one looking to further his own goals, fame and power

Wow! Nicely done. Drizzt was pretty good, nice makeup and costume. Wulfgar's hair is a little too pretty though. Great swordplay. You rock!
I'm going to feature this video on my blog. |

:3 I like it VERY much.
The little *slap* in the middle of the big fight scene made me laugh so hard, it was awesome! VERY well done! |

| That's amazing! I always had a hard time imagining how it could be done as a movie before, but you captured it perfectly! |

Great job.
In the old paintings, Wulfgar's hammer is depicted that way, but it was never described like that in the novels. What we went with is fairly close to Todd Lockwood's design of the hammer. |

This post was inappropriately placed elsewhere, so I'm re-shelving it here:-

Very decent with the production.
Good swordfighting except the two second battle between the two where they were pretty much doing the same attacks with both weapons over and over, it was fast but very repedative and unrealistic.
Everything besides that was amazing besides wulfgar. Didnt like it all, i think he should be a bit bigger, and his cleanliness does not reflect his character.

The green screen at Time Warner in Austin. Most of the outdoor stuff was at a farm near Granger, and the Drizzt/Artemis fight was at a tubing park south of Austin. I believe it was called White Water on the Horseshoe or something like that. |

Someone needs to give you a bigger budget and a fight choreographer. But then I always think that cinematic fight scenes need better scripting.
I was cracking up through most of it. Good job! |

| I'd love to see a full length version of this. I had originally only thought that Drizz't could only be done as a CG character. I'd glad I was proven wrong. |

-Darn. I was hoping it was around Dallas/Irving Tx.

More 'Kevin Sorbo' for Wulfgar, better beard for Bruenor, less 'mailman' for Regis, and tighter pants on Cattie Brie (perhaps not realistic, but it is a Fantasy trope) - no one wants to see a hot girl's pants bunchin' up.
Drizzt was good, albeit a little afeminant for my tastes, but it works.
Extremely well made - The cat made the whole thing for me - that couldn't have possibly been CGI. |

Very cool short movie, I am impressed.
I think the fundamental problem with Drizzt is that so many people have created their own image of him in their head that it will be hard to match up perfectly. |

Sorry, but the cat was never there ;)
Guenhwyvar is 600lbs, but real panthers are like 90-130lbs with a very... floppy way of moving. A real black panther would have been highly disappointing.
Instead we rotoscoped some stock footage of female lions, color corrected them to make them black. Even then it still looked like a black lion, so we took photos of panther eyes and noses from various angles and tracked them onto the lion's face.
The end result was a 600lb panther that fits the paintings of Guenhwyvar fairly well :D |

I enjoyed it--it had me laughing out loud a few times. |
