I miss the Wall of the Faithless. Now when my characters are in fatalistic mood they can't say "all we are, are bricks in the Wall".

In case this is mistaken for sarcasm, I'm serious, I disliked the idea of serving in life only to serve even more in death. The idea of having your conscience erased and the energy of your soul stored and later reused for other purposes seemed more fair to me (circle of life and all).

The greatest trick Ao ever pulled, is convincing Toril he didn't exist.

Heck, I liked all the drow deities -- but yes, the worst thing they did (among a lengthy list of horrible ideas) was to kill Eilistraee and Qilue.

I remember that quote.

It kinda looks prophetic now, huh?

This tells me that the design team over Wizards does not understand the Realms. They just don't get it. Plain and simple.

Agreed...

As strange as it may seems... It is Eldath one of the deity I'm gonna miss more!

(I remember a great PC Monk of Eldath: 14 levels without killing! ... something impossible in the 4ed?)

Needless to say, I was in the number of those hurted by that R. Baker response...

So I just got finished looking at the list of gods for 4e again. So what halflings and gnomes don't pray anymore? Maybe they should just kill everything thing thats not a human and they can all be one big myth.

Well, it seems that a lot of the demihuman gods were actually human gods in disguise all along. So the gnomes will probably end up with Gond, and turn into tinker gnomes, and the halflings will end up with Chauntea. Then again, maybe they will die. After all, they did exterminate the entire populations of Mulhorand and Unther due to their inconveniant religious convictions.

Now that I think about it, the god I miss the most is Leira.

Maybe there will be a book titled "Faith and Pantheon." Or maybe they issue a book called "The Complete Guide to God" in an attempt to recapture the edgy controversy that D&D had back in the 80's. If we're lucky there might even be a foreword by Jack Chick.

I didint fully understand this comment when it was first made but after reading the god section of 4e again for my self, as well as reading the last comment I do. I firmly agree with it and the revelation isint comforting. I have really been trying to let it grow on me but I'm going to have to do what some one else said and just ignore it as a whole.

I can't believe Baker actually said that....

If I were a ranger, I would pick NDA for my favorite enemy

I wish it wasn't true

When hinges creak in doorless chambers and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls, whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still, that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight.

Will miss Finder the most, I grew to like him as a deity. Novak & Grubb did a damn good job bringing him to life in the novels I read. With this 100 year time jump, I would imagine his Chosen, Joel, has passed on. But what of the saurials that he watched over?

Of the others, I will miss Deneir & Mask. Was never a fan of Tyr or Helm, but they were still a part of the realms. So I imagine I will miss them as well.

On the up note, I see Beshaba is still there! That at least, makes me believe that not all is lost.
