Ok , in HoS there's the maid , Larijin . Is she in other books as well , besides the Sembia series? As in , her own book series or perhaps a side character once more?

Venom's Taste
Vanity's Brood all form the House of Vipers Trilogy (loved them all)
Extintion which is 1 of 6 War of the Spider Queen books(liked it)
Sacrifice of the Widow
Storm of the Dead
assendancy of the Last these 3 are the Lady Penitent trilogy (so so)
and Heirs of Prophecy 1 of 6 of the Sembia series (excellent)

I really like the harpers sereies. It was 16 "stand alone" books (a few tied together though) that do not necessarily need to be read in order. You should pick up any you spot at your local used book store! |

For my Realms favorites, I have to recommend anything by Elaine Cunningham or the duo of Jeff Grubb and Kate Novak. Sadly, most of those books are long out of print. |

Just make sure you read the ones that are tied together in order. You can usually tell because the ones tied together are usually by the same author (i.e. Elf Shadow, Elf Song, et cetera all by Elaine Cunningham; The Parched Sea and The Veiled Dragon both by Troy Denning; and so on and so forth). |

The Sage has given my memory a jump start , how could I have forgot my favorite, Ghostwalker by Erik Scott de Bie. Dark and gritty, great fight "scenes" and reads. Like a movie! |

I actually wouldn't suggest starting with Spellfire. I would suggest Elminster: The Making of the Mage. But I did not enjoy the Shandril Saga nearly as much as others. Actually, I would probably suggest reading only Spellfire from the Shandril Saga and only Elminster: The Making of the Mage from the Elminster Series before reading any of the other novels from either series. Also, Cormyr (with Jeff Grubb) is one of the best books ever of the Realms as it gives a very detailed history of one of the most important nations of the Realms. |

Of all the Realms books I might recommend, I'll second our good Sage in de'Bie's "Depths of Madness". Of the many realms novels I own (Currently sitting on 178, mind you!) Depths is most definately my favourite. Another series I might recommend would be Thomas M. Reid's Scions of Arabar series, particularly the first book.
Of all the novel villains, the 'bad guys' in The Sapphire Crescent are the only ones I've truly, utterly, completely and wholely despised...
If you're still new to the realms, try to get a sampling of which authors you like, pick up one or more of the anthologies from your bookstore. They are usually titled "Realms of (Something!)". Author specific anthologies will be "Best of the Realms", but thus far, there are only two, Ed Greenwood's and Elaine Cunningham's. There's rumor that Salvatore will be putting one out towards the end of the year, if not sometime next.
Now, if you're after something Realms-shaking, I'll point you towards Richard Lee Byers' "Year of Rogue Dragons" trilogy (It has two anthologies, so technically a quintilogy, but meh!), which is admittedly difficult to aquire down here in Australia.
And as one last long-shot suggestion - If you see "King Pinch" by David Cook in a second hand bookstore, grab it! It's definately out of print, so you'll be hard pressed to track it down, but should you stumble upon it...

Anyway I would like to say thank you for so many good ideas . And to the Silver Bard. I found The King Pinch on amazon for 2 dollars And , of course I will buy it . Of all the authors in the FR I like Kemp or R.A the best but of course I've only read very little .

Seeing as you're fond of Salvatore, do tell, have you picked up The Orc King? It was released in trade-paperback format this month.
I'm enjoying it!
In the previews in the back, there's a little tidbit about a series he's co-writing with his son aimed at younger readers too, which I think is an interesting move. Mayhap with this upcoming "Stone of Tymora" series, our younger kin might find a suitable introduction to the Realms.
