The article "Olothontor, The Minstrel Wyrm" in Dragon #251 states that that dragon's lair is fronted by "a crumbling, old stone mansion that was once the home of the brother titans Endrigul and Roevryn Taluth -- and was later taken over by the self-styled "Gnome King" Karlus "Goldgoblet" Dlinshoulder to be the seat of his court, only to be emptied by repeated orc raids."
That was in 934 DR--the GHotR doesn't mention Dlinshoulder by name, but does mention the eradication of gnome settlements by orcs in and around the Sword Mountains at that time. |

There is a more specific location mentioned somewhere.. |

Well, fiddlesticks. More specific than that dragon's lair? The same Ed Greenwood article says that the cavern the mansion fronts is on "Mount Araddyn, just north of Mount Sar along the Coast Road." Does that count as more or less specific? |

There were genasi municipalities in Faerūn even before Akanūl came crashing down and the Second Era of Skyfire. One was led by a druid in the service of Grumbar. What was this place called, where was it located, and who was its leader? |

Okay, hint time. The question:
There were genasi municipalities in Faerūn even before Akanūl came crashing down and the Second Era of Skyfire. One was led by a druid in the service of Grumbar. What was this place called, where was it located, and who was its leader?
The hint:
When I say genasis municipalities in Faerūn, I really mean it.

I like Christopher questions ! They are always with extension leads questions ! In France, we call it Questions with drawers. And Christopher has always several drawers. Who, where, when, why, How ?
I have no lore about these municipalities so I will wait the next one...
EDIT : "They are always with extension leads questions " : Is it unerstandable |

In fact, I meant Christopher is not "able" to ask a single question like "Who is the father of Rinda?", or "Where does Bevis the illuminator live?", or "Quote the two most popular books that Rinda wrote?".
Each time it's his round to ask he makes questions as "Who is Bevis the illuminator's daughter ? Where does she live? Quote the two most popular books that she wrote?". |

Okay, here's kind of a meta-hint.
This is the third question I've posed over the last several weeks. The first was from a 4th Edition book, the second was from a 2nd Edition source. This question--seeking lore about a place in Faerūn--is from yet a third edition.

Okay, my 5 days are up and I can answer:
The location is Earth's End which can be found in the Underdark (specifically the lower levels of Great Bhaerynden). The leader is Speleosa Turska Underwalk (Underdark, p.147).
Okay, if that's right, my question is as promised, an obscure one:
Which realm was first settled by individuals seeking to harvest its stands of huge, high quality iliyr-wood timber which was much prized in shipbuilding?

Don't worry. I haven't the time to search through some of the more archaic sources for a particularly obscure question this time around. I'll get to posting a relatively interesting question sometime today. |

Indeed, I think it's an easy one !
"Beyond the Fox ridge, in the region of Shadowdale, is a great cavern known as the Grinding Gulf, where flying boulders cascade in magical (and destructive) dances. Elminster and Florin Falconhand, who have examined this part of the cave, determined that it did not present an immediate threat, and as such did not press past the Grinding Gulf."
Source : FRCS2, Shadowdale, p.15
I have not prepared the next question. So, if I was right about the Sage's question, feel free to ask the next one... |

Fillow is indeed correct. I will note, however, that I originally derived this question from the "Dread Lair of Alokkair" chapter in the original Lords of Darkness tome. 'Tis one of my favorite sources of Realmslore. |

Thanks Sage. Since no one asked one, I'm back with it :
This sovereign, who was old when he passed away, was given, for his unfailing service to the memories of his forebears, a divine name meaning "Dog" in the local language . What sovereign was he? |
