Character
Description and History
Illegitimate son of a Waterdivian noble, Madmax (second from left
in "The Five Black Roses" painting), grew up on Waterdeep streets,
left to his own devices. His quick spirit an sleight of hand brought
him to the attention of a local thief guildmaster who took him under
his wing.
His true name is unknown, he earned the nickname "Madmax" after
succeding (just by sheer luck, but he'll die before admitting it)
in stealing a jewel belonging to a tanar'ri female. After his guild
was destroyed by a rival one, he fled, trying to desappear and find
a new home to start his career over.
After a series of false starts along the Sword Coast, he eventually
came to Eveningstar, where, one night, thanks to a failed pickpoketing
attempt against Boadicea (that she, contrary to her usual way, took
in good part) he met the others and came to be one of the Black
Roses, forging in the way a turbolent relationship with Boadicea
herself. His having to be raised from death twice in the last two
years has not deterred him from the adventuring way of life. He
is currently training a young apprentice, Abu, saved from the sands
of Har-Akir in the Demiplane of Dread.
