i really don't understand racial feats. if a feat is in the racial feats, does that mean they get it automatically, or can they only get it, or is it just a feat that a lot of them take?

Basically it just means that the feat in question has a race as one of its prerequisites. So if the feat has "elf" as a prerequsite and you play a halfling, you're out of luck shorty.

There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist.

My group uses racial feats(as well as regional feats) for tieing a pc to a specific quality. in my fr campaignes my players have to choose a regional or racial feat. this requires a little research on their part, thereby solidifying their character's place in faerun. this is useful for everyone at the table.
