Sorry, WalkerNinja, but as I said earlier: Ed simply hasn't had the time, whilst juggling three novels, two game products, and a big NDA at once (and holding down a real-life job that has nothing to do with gaming, don't forget), to write more articles. He's very sorry about that, but he just CAN'T invent more time for his day. As it is, he's down to about three hours sleep a night, cramming as much extra writing time into his life as he can. It's quite likely that his lore replies here at the Keep will become more sporadic, too, in the month ahead. Sigh.
On the bright side, I see 2007 hosting the publication of THREE new Ed Greenwood novels. Only one is a Realms book, but, hey, it's SWORDS OF DRAGONFIRE.
love,

Damn, I am beat after only 6 hours of sleep... 3 hours a night...damn

Well, I don't know how old you are Mace, but Modern Sleep institutes have shown that the need for sleep maxes in our teens decreases as we continue to age. My father-in-law goes to bed at 11 and wakes up at 3 or so routinely, and he's not nearly as busy as Ed.

Went to a sleep clinic once, and it turns out that I almost never get to the 4th-level of sleep (sleep has 4 cycles; 1-3 being light sleep, and level 4 being the deepest sleep, the one that provides the most rest and all associated health benefits, up and including your body's ability to regulate its weight... yes, I've got a bit of a belly, and the snoring prevents me to get to the 4th-level of sleep, which makes me gain weight, which then intensifies my snoring, etc. It's a real vicious circle, one that can only be beat with lots and lots of exercise, which requires time, a hard commodity for everyone these days. Which is funny, since technology has given us loads of disposable time - compared to the typical 18th century farmer who was working dawn to dusk - and that very technology, this tool we've created to increase our comfort, is now demanding our time back, like an angry wife that overwhelms you with chores, who was once a lovely girlfriend that baked you cookies, volunteered to fold your laundry IN BETWEEN hot steamy romps, etc... )

Heh, guess you guys don't want to hear that I can easily get 8 to 11 hours of sleep every night. And I'm in my thirties! Only night I don't is on gaming nights and then I only get about 3 or 4.

One of the con's of not having a significant other.

Explanation by Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander: "People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."

Okay, we seem to be diverting from the topic just a little... Let's keep it focused on the Realms, eh?

Oh, but Sage, it IS. I definitely read the words "hot steamy romps" and one can't get more "Realms" than that!

Sorry, I have to laugh at this, given the title of the thread.

I'd really love to participate in one of your campaigns, my Lady. I have a feeling I would thoroughly enjoy it!

After my last rant led to a thorough, shall we say, "attitude adjustment" by a very kindly Sage, I shall refrain from any comment... except one... Is there no other Realms designer/author/editor that has lore to share? There are many great FR contributors... Thank Heavens for Candlekeep, the sages here keep me going on Realms-lore, otherwise I would have to focus on work and attaining my grad degree... "shudder"

In addition to an FR article related to the Magic Item Compendium. You'll be getting lots of Realmslore from me in the next 5 months or so. And to defend the web team, they specifically asked me to concentrate on FR material, recognizing the recent gap.
