Is there anywhere I can find the history of Clan Battlehammer from the time they discover Mithral Hal? I just finished Legacy and they mention the captured spirit of Gandalung Battlehammer, the First King of Mithral Hall, by Matron Baenre. They say he was over 400 years old when Matron Baenre captured him in his tooth. They say that that encounter was about 2000 years ago. The flashback mentioned that Bruenor was his third son and was to be King of Mithral Hall and that he lead the dwarves to Mithral Hall. That would make Bruenor over two thousand years old when I thought that the Icewind Dale Triliogy said he was just a young dwarf when Shimmergloom ran the dwarves out of Mithral Hall which would have been at least 1500 years after the events of Gandalung. So I am very confused as to the timeline. Does anyone know the answer to my question?

Bits and pieces, mostly.

Most of the FR sourcebooks that deal with the North and/or Savage Frontier have sections on Clan Battlehammer -- The North boxed set and Volo's Guide to the North being particular examples.

Eric's Drizzt Do'Urden's Guide to the Underdark also provides some background lore on Mithral Hall and Clan Battlehammer.

The current Bruenor Battlehammer is not the first king of Mithral Hall to be so named.
