Hiya!
Is there any canon data relating to these three towns in the Shaar?

There isn't much.
Serpent Kingdoms for Kormul.
Brief references for Three Swords in Ed's Elminster Speaks articles at WotC.
Prayers from the Faithful for a very brief mention of Torsch. And Vilhon Reach.
3e's Shining South also.

*cough*
Um... Sorry to be a pain, but do you have page references or sections where the info is. I have all those books but can't find anything. Indices are wonderful things. |

Torsh is only mentioned once in Vilon Reach on page 56.
See also the Map for Western Shaar in Shiniong South, north west corner below the Chondalwood. |

Kormul is also to be wound on the map in SS. Moreover it is at least mentioned once in the entry of lake Lhespen, p. 160 (at the very end) but with not much information really. |

Thanks Ergdusch. I know where they are already, and it's their locations which make them potentially important to my campaign hence the wondering if there was ANY canon lore on them at all. |

As it seems to me the lore in SS or any of the other sourcebooks is very limited. Sorry I could not be of more help to you. |

The great thing is, you're free to create whatever you need if you want to use these towns for anything. |

As I said earlier, there isn't much.
Most of the references I've found, merely mention each of the locales in a passing reference.

Yeah, but I like to know if there's any nice bits of canon to spur my imagination... Seems not.

No matter. Thanks for looking though!

Not directly about the topic, but a related question -
I found this thread whilst trying to find info on Torsh, while trying to find out anything else about Vaerndoun - a rather interesting place located beneath Torsh.
Anyhow, although Underdark has nary a thing about Vaerndoun, or the Illithid realm of Asglyth that runs it, I do see another site very close by - Gduar's Garden.
I'm not seeing a seperate entry for that place in Und, so does anyone else no where I can find out more about Gduar's Garden? |

No luck yet, Sage?
Thats a bad sign...
The name has me thinking Ghaunadaur (sp?)... maybe I'll check his (it's?) listing in Demihuman Deities. |

"If an item does not appear in my archives, it does not exist!"
Sorry. I couldn't pass up the chance to quote Jocasta Nu.
...
But seriously, I didn't have much luck. My guess is, this was mostly a locale written up specially for Underdark.

I'll note that I didn't mention that earlier because I thought you'd already seen it when you referenced Underdark above. Thus, I thought you were looking for sources besides that tome. |
