Never heard of it Skeptic. Can you give me either a source for it or a brief description?

City of Splendors box set. :)

And Skeptic, did you look at the new Waterdeep sourcebook? I thought I saw a few lines about it....

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Of course

I was more asking if anyone has converted it for his/her campaign.

Indeed.

'Tis in the "Adventures in Waterdeep" chapter.

I did run it - but from old scrap converting it 'on the fly' so to speak. I have no notes or conversions at the ready and at the moment no time to go through them again. Sorry.

However, you can find the entire adventurer's trap detailed in the City of Splendors box set, Appendix 3 (page 112). Other than that it is only mentioned in SoC:W on page 115.

Running it was much fun indeed and as such a convertion a great idea. How about making it a very late WE to the sourcebook or as part of Elminsters Realmslore section???

Trying to convert it to 3E Dungeon style...

Why every damn 2E adventure included a Mirror of Oposition !?

Hmm Symbol of Insanity and Mage's Disjunction... that's harsh when the average EL is 6.

Ed's original Blue Alley is longer and more eccentric - - and it includes Weave "feedback" areas in the dungeon that glow as they completely heal (and regenerate, and restore) PCs who touch them. The nature of publishing Ed's Realms has always involved shortening for print, I'm afraid, and the published Blue Alley is a mere shard of the original.
They left the dancing undead in, though. You haven't lived until you've slow danced with a hip-grinding skeleton.

Umm....that was a visual image I didn't need.

However, we're grateful as always for the first hand accounts of Ed's original Realms, THO. Thanks.

Care to share any more of the Blue Alley bits that were left out, my Lady?

A little story to my dming experiences in the Blue alley including the zombies:
the groups mage did not even let them take the first swing blasting them to peaces with fireballs. Such a shame, really. Instead of sitting back and enjoying the show.......... tststs

I never understood why they published so much **** at TSR, while ignoring (and editing/shortening) a LOT of Ed's marvelous original notes and books. The fate of TSR might have been different, for it is very hard to believe that Ed's stuff wouldn't have sold more than what they chose to publish. *SIGH*
I am a devoted Cormyte in my heart, and I still cannot forgive them for not publishing Ed's 'Haunted Halls of Eveningstar'-module the way he meant it to be!
