After reading the impressive Last Mythal trilogy, I began to wonder about the sheer number of elves with PC levels shown there. Are elves just more likely to have such training, perhaps due to their long lifespan granting them ample time to study fields they don't necessarily specialize in? Considering the usual proportion of adventurer-types to the general population with NPC levels, the army mounted by the Crusade must have been a fairly huge chunk of Evermeet's resources. So, do the elves deviate from the norm here, and if so, by how much?

Don't know how helpful it might be, but when we were discussing how many elves might be left in various places after the events of the ROTAW and Last Mythal books, I started this thread discussing elven population figures. Even if a significant portion of the crusade was of moderate to high level, there are a LOT of elves still out there, apparently . . .
