German dubbing generally sucks big time, so I try to find out beforehand if a game allows me to switch to English, and if not, I import a UK version. Before I got Baldur's Gate, I watched a friend play the German version - this experience redefined my definition of 'horrible' - and advised him to switch to English, if possible. No such luck, German voices only, he said. Needless to say, had I not found a foreign version, I wouldn't have purchased it at all
