Well met,

I've been lurking on these forums for a couple days now so I thought I'd introduce myself. I guess you could say I'm an old time roleplayer though I haven't sat around a table in ten years or so; however some of my mates are keen to start up a campaign so it looks like the game is back on.
We're probably going to explore the Realms, so the resources of Candlekeep will be invaluable. This suits me down to the ground because the Crystal Shard ( and LotR ) introduced me to fantasy many moons ago...

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Greetings to you kmbrow, and welcome to Candlekeep.

Here you will find many curious questions pertaining to the extensive Realmslore of the FR setting. As well, you will also discover many fantastic answers -- some of which have even been generously provided by the Great Sages of the Realms themselves.

So please, take a look around. If you feel the need to ask a question, or to merely discuss some element of the Realmslore, then simply find the appropriately place or shelf within the library and open a scroll. One of our many knowledgeable scribes, the dedicated staff of Candlekeep, or even a visitor to these halls, will always be happy to assist you in learning more about the Realms.

See you in the library.

Wellmet

It's nice to see another Been away for to long now come back to The Realmsian like myself!

This is definatly the best place to be on T'internet for Forgotten Realms. I have really enjoyed the time I have been on the boards.

I look forward to seeing your take on the realms now compared to then, Personally I prefer the older versions 2e etc but I am conveting slowly to v3.5e, But essentialy the Realms are still the Realms.

I'm Back!
