Just been reading Dragons of Faerun and the old Wryms of the North article for Olothontor and as one of my players will be running a Bard Im think of making use of Olothontor.
A few plot hooks
Olothontor wants to be able to listen in on recitals at the Bards college in Waterdeep so he coerces/bribes the party into scattering gems from his hoard around the bard college so he can scyre performances.
Olothontor is looking for a female Blue Dragon who can sing, as a mate interestingly enough DoF details a Female Half Blue Dragon Hobgoblin who has an interest in music and has even taken the Dragonsong Lyrist PrC......
Olothontor has an item the Party wants or needs and he offers to give it to them in exchange for a Singing Sword (Has anyone seen a "Singing" magical weapon ability in 3ed?, I found a Sing Swords as a specfic item but its not really suitable)to make things interesting Olothontor wants the Songs stored in the Singing Sword to be sung by certain well known Bards including Storm Silverhand and Danilo Thann
Amusing thought: Olothontor strikes me as the ultimate celebrity stalker what do you reckon Kevin Costners character in the body guard would have done when he found out Whitney Houstons stalker was a Huge Blue Lightning breathing lizard?

There's a Singing Sword in the 3E 'Song and Silence', but I don't remember off hand what its abilitities were. Also on pg.144 of Magic of Faerun is a Singing Sword, made for the Harpers. ~Kes |

Another weapon type is the harmonizing weapon. It is a weapon that sings with a bard (And harmonizes with a bardic music ability) and continues to sing about 3 rounds afterwards, contining the effect for that time. It can be found in the 3ed Waterdeep book.
Another possiblity is that Olothontor finds out about the Finder's Stone. The stone has the ability to point to any object that is stated. Including a singing Blue female. If your group has a character that worships Finder Wyvernspur, there can be discussion and deals made to give him access (Possible temperary) to the Stone.
Just some thoughts. |

If a Half Blue Dragon Hobgoblin was polymorphed into a Blue Dragon and breed with a full blooded Blue Dragon would their children be full blooded Blue Dragon? (The children would be 3/4 Blue Dragon 1/4 Hobgoblin) |

I'd say the offspring would be full-blooded blue dragons -- after all, the physical form of both participants was that of a dragon.
You could, if you wanted, say that there was some hobgoblin still in the mix, despite the polymorph, and that the draconic offspring would be a bit weaker than normal blue dragons. I'm not keen on this idea, though. |
