Not sure if this is where this belongs or not. I just registered here a week or so ago. I have been reading the forums here for a month or two before that.

I just wanted to pass on to all what a great place this is! Truly the most hospitable spot in all the realms.

I greatly enjoy everyone's good spirited banter. All have great answers , but even better questions after that!!

The interaction of the authors here is mindblowing. I found this hallowed library in my quest to find every FR novel I could, and good fortune steered me here. I must say I have never "gamed" D&D or FR(or any rpg for that matter) , but I find the discussions here facinatig. I beleive that I need to check into that aspect, for I may be missing some very rewarding fun(and work as well is seems).

So , I would just like to give a hearty "Well met friend" to any and all who interact here with myself or anyother scribe. This place would not be the same without any of the things you all do from Acolyte to Alaundo himself. I congratulate one and all for this community and what it represents.

Anyone with any advice or comments I am more than Willing to listen and learn!

Thank You!

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

As one of those mostly harmless but occassionally strange denizens, let me bid thee welcome. First round's on Alaundo!

Many thanks Wooly!

Those three qualities in the right ratios are what makes the Realms go round!

I will ask questions, I am just trying to decide where to start.

I have learned one thing though, living as close to Indianapolis as I do (30 minutes north) I really need to consider checkiing out GenCon.

Thanks for the warm welcome Mr Schend. I greatly enjoyed reading Blackstaff, what a fine read it was!
And so interesting to hear everyone rave on the amount of Realmslore you included in it. It is sure to be included on my re-read shelf! Which to say consists of about 15 books I will read every year no matter what else new is on my list! It is my Curse(according to my wife as she watches what I spend on books) to be able to devour most any tome in one sitting if it is worthy, hence my re-read list helps temper my affliction, but a tome must be good indeed to be on that shelf! So much in the last few pages, amazing job!

And if the First round truly be on Alaundo....

Then Dwarf Spirits it be!

My thanks and a hearty welcome to ye as well. I am fairly well read in the novel arena, but as to other realmslore I am in the same boat as you.

Welcome Red Walker, and Genis too!!

I'm in the Indy area too (one county to the west). Just going to Gen Con on Sat for a walk about with my 2 year old. I think I ran across your home page earlier?? I cannot remember for what though (BW or Killer maybe)? Anyway nice to know there is another Realms fan nearby.
