Two questions:
First, is there a year listed anywhere for when Phintarn "Redblade" was found dead/the Zhentarim usurped leadership of the town? I was looking in old Savage Frotier accessory and that seems to indicate that it was prior to 1358, but I'm not sure.
Secondly, is there a reference somewhere that indicates the Realms year sourcebooks are written corispond with (ie. the old grey box set starting in 1358 dr)?

The North free download at wizards.com might help a little. It covered some of that time period and area if I recall correctly. Hope that helps some. |

The Year of the Arch (1353 DR) for the Llorkh date. The Ol' Grey Box is set in the Year of the Prince and the Year of the Worm.

Allow me to say that candlekeep.com is a great resource, and I'd like to thank all the people that have helped with my picky little questons since I joined.
Now for a couple of follow-ups:

Where does that date for Llorkh 1353 come from? I've stumbled across that before in different timelines (including one timeline that listed the death of Phintarn in both 1353 and 1357 ) but I could never verify it. Secondly, I wasn't really asking so much about the old gry box set in particular, but I was more curious if there was a master list that said what realms year every source/accessory corresponded to.
Once again, thanks to for being such a great help. |

A tall order indeed. Good luck. If you get an answer I would be interested in knowing where to find such a resource. |

Well, the dating isn't defined in any product - I actually chose it. Based on a few things of course. Chief of these is the fact that AFTER the take-over by the Zhentarim, the dwarves who once resided in Llorkh go to Mithral hall. Mithral Hall isn't re-founded until 1357 DR. The comment re this makes it sound like it doesn't happen immediately, but that the dwarves after a time of persecution head out when an opportunity to re-settle presents itself. Similarly, the accessory FR5 The Savage Frontier, which gives us our first bits on Llorkh, is set in 1358 DR and again doesn't note the Zhent takeover as a recent event. So I chose 1353 DR. A good a date as any. Feel free to go with something else if it suits you better.

I've got very little to add to this conversation, except to note that, in case you didn't know it, Son of Thunder is set in Llorkh. |
