Soldiers fight, thieves steal, bards sing, wizards cast, sages think, assassins kill. Good or Evil we all have a job. So tell me this. What the hell are nobles and merchants for?

Yo. :)
And it's over for me since I'm on the East Coast and it's now past midnight. |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Happy Independance Day to my American scribes friends . . . since the date doesn't change, happy Fourth of July to everyone else . . . y'know, since you can still have a happy fourth of July, even if its not much different than the 5th, or the 6th . . . oh well, you know what I mean. |

Happy 4th everyone! I'm watching the fireworks and lightning now. *laughs* Yep, a storm while people are lighting fireworks. |
"What's that," asked Mogget. "Sardines," said Sam. "I knew they were standard rations, so I got a few tins for you." "What are sardines?" Moggest asked suspiciously. "And why is there a key? Is this some sort of Abhorsen joke?" Abhorsen by Garth Nix

Does this really belong in the GENERAL section though?
What does it have to do with the Forgotten Realms?

It's a GENERAL group of Candlekeep scribes, chatting and passing along some GENERAL good wishes to everyone here, to generate (in GENERAL) a good mood and lighten things up.
I don't think master Alaundo needs to make a special forum for well wishing and good tidings. I am sure he already has enough on his to-do scroll.
Happy 4th all... (dreaming of BBQ hot bogs and burgers.....MMmmmm..buuurgeerrrsss...) |

It's the 4th of July!? I thought Khelben and Eliminster were just entertaining all of the United States with magical displays of might. |

No, what I mean is, I've noticed that announcements and non-Forgotten Realms threads seemed to be placed in the WELL MET section.
This is really only relevant for US residents afterall, and does not really effect every poster here at Candlekeep.
