With regard to what this lady looked like, as I mentioned before I was delirious at the time and my vision hazy, but I am fairly sure that she did have dark hair and the most deep blue eyes...
I only arrived here yesterday afternoon and so have only just settled in. But I intend to speak with one of the senior scribes for guidance as to where I should begin my research and studies. What I can say is that walking in the grounds the other day, the beautiful surroundings, the singing birds, and the overall sense of harmony which pervades throughout this place, I know that I feel more at peace here than I have ever done before....
With this Alexis smiles and looks more relaxed than he previously did, he obviously enjoys the company of these two ladies and does not feel uneasy talking to them on personal matters.
Can someone find who's lady it is? Thanks to you all.

Well, euhm, the only clue is: she did have dark hair and the most deep blue eyes..
That's not much.. There must be many ladies looking like that. I do know a lady who's got brown hair and sparkling blue eyes. But she probably isn't it
There's only one who knows, I guess. |
Love magic for itself. Do not treat it just as a weapon to reshape the world to your will. True wisdom is knowing when not to use magic. Strive to use magic less as your powers develop, for often the threat or promise of its use outstrips is actual performance. Magic is an Art, the Gift of the Lady, and those who wield it are privileged it the extreme. Conduct yourself humbly, not proudly, while being mindful of this. Use the Art deftly and efficiently, not carelessly and recklessly. Seek always to learn and create new magic. |

(Just as an aside to this I would add that when developing Alexis Merlin's background, I have had several ideas about who this mysterious lady was, but would be interested to hear if any other scribes have any thoughts on it ) |
It is knowledge that influences and equalizes the social condition of man; that gives to all, however different their political position, passions which are in common, and enjoyments which are universal. (Benjamin Disraeli)

Okay. I've been doing what anyone would do in an Inn -- ignore all but your own conversation, except for a few things that catch your eye or ear. |
