I'm curious as to what characters people would like to see revisited. I don't mean the big names like Elminster, the Seven Sisters, Drizzt, Liriel, etc. None of the characters that have appeared in many books, but the ones that have featured in perhaps a single novel, or some short stories, or perhaps not at all as yet. For my part. I'd love to see new books/short stories featuring:
Jack Ravenwild Kehrsyn Artus Cimber Jander Sunstar
and
Pharaun Mizzrym (okay so he was in 6 books, but he died like a punk and deserved better)

Oh yeah, Tertius was a favorite of mine. I've liked that character since his intro in the Catspaw Quartet.
And one of these days, I'd like to see more of Susprina Arkenneld... Oh, and Baelam the Bold has always been a fave, too, as well as part of the inspiration for an NPC I created. |

I'll go with Tertius as well.
A follow-up for Jack would be nice... even though Rich said it's not something that's on the books right now.

More of Matteo and Tzigone would be good, and I'd also like to see what Sememmon and Ashemmi have been up to.
And to add a couple more non-novel people to the list, Asilther Graelor and Elsura Dauniir.
Oh, and more of Morgala the Mirthful, too! |

.Myrmeen Lhal in a follow up to The Night Parade; I cant help it, for some reason this continues to be my favorite realms book.
.Mirt; the man deserves to finally shine in the light on his own.
.Volo; this time in a book that takes its subject seriously.
.Well, to narrow it down a little bit, most of the people mentioned in the old campaign settings and Ed's novels |

I'd love to read another short story or novel featuring Jander Sunstar!! I hated how they left us hanging at the end of Vampire of the Mists! *growls* (I'll leave out the spoiler for those who still want to read it).
They need to bring him back into more stories! Though I guess that might be difficult writing about a vampire. There's only so many plots one can think of right? |
"What's that," asked Mogget. "Sardines," said Sam. "I knew they were standard rations, so I got a few tins for you." "What are sardines?" Moggest asked suspiciously. "And why is there a key? Is this some sort of Abhorsen joke?" Abhorsen by Garth Nix

Mmm, Myrmeen would be a good character check in on. I'd forgotten about her. Would be interesting to see what effect having a daughter would have on her lifestyle, as well as the destruction that Arabel suffered of course. |

Hm . . . If I have read Steven's clues properly, I suspect I may have worked in what I suspected into the campaign wrap up that I am going to run for my Mistledale campaign . . . I guess I'll see in about a month's time . . . |

I always wanted more Alias and Dragonbait as well.
Also now that i think about it I would like to see a story involving the deep gnome from Exile in it, I forget his name momentarily. The one with the enchanted pick and hammer hands, I always thought he was a neat character and it would be nice to have another story with some gnomes even if they are deep gnomes |

I rather liked Arya from Ghostwalker and wouldn't mind seeing more of her in the future.
There are others, of course, but it's late and my mind doesn't want to work too hard. |

I would like to see more of Malik el Sami yn Nasser, he's one of my favorites. I would like to see a follow up for Atreus since Faces of Deception ended so cruelly. I would love to see more of Ythnel from Maiden of Pain, and I hope to see a follow up on Dorn and the crew from Year of Rogues Dragons in the future. Probably more than anyone else, I would love to see what Jherek did following the events in the Threat from the Sea. |

Jack Ravenwild was in City of Ravens, I believe (the book is still on my to-read list). 'Tis the first book of the Cities series.
Kehrsyn -- I don't recognize this one. The name does not ring a bell, though I am thinking I should know it.
Artus Cimber was in the fifth Harpers novel, Ring of Winter.
Jander Sunstar first appeared in a Ravenloft novel, Vampire of the Mists. He was an elven vampire, living near Waterdeep, who found himself transported by the Mists to Barovia. |

She's in The Alabaster Staff by Edward Bolme. A quite enjoyable read to my thinking. "I'm burgling unto the knaves whosoever hast maked me unto burgle."

He also appear in a short story in one of the Realms of... anthologies, but my memory is acting like a swiss cheese today, so I can't recall which one.

And the characters I would like to see more of are, in no particular order:
The above-mentioned Kehrsyn. The Simbul (But, and this may cause a few eyebrows to rise, written by Lynn Abbey. I've not read The Simbul's Gift, but I really enjoyed her short story in Dragon #242 - In the Bleak Deepwinter - and would like to have seen more in that vein.) I wouldn't mind seeing the story of Princess Alusair during her "lost" years prior to Crusade. And finally, how about a book about Kyriani, eh, Wooly? |

Again I have to ask - who is that Kyri?
Kyriani Agrivar first appeared in the old DC/TSR Advanced Dungeons & Dragons comic. Later on, she started popping up in various 2E sourcebooks and modules, such as For Duty & Deity, Powers & Pantheons, and Cloak & Dagger. More recently, she was named as a Lord of Waterdeep in City of Splendors: Waterdeep. That book also stats her out, in the Moonstar Agent PrC write-up.
She's a beautiful half-drow (she looks like a regular half-elf though) mage, a mischievous lass who very much enjoys the company of men, and a personal friend of Selūne.
Steven Schend and I have both claimed to be her biggest fan, but he trumped me by putting her in his novel. |
