This one again takes place in the realms, in Waterdeep....

Hm . . . I take it that is Halaster in the trailer . . . I will say this, I'm glad to see the last two premium modules take place in the Forgotten Realms. I was starting to think that the Forgotten Realms license was a burden to old Bioware.

Well, according to people at Bioware, WOTC has made it known that they would prefer that all future Premium mods do take place in the FR.

Well, making premium modules, that you pay for, with the Neverwinter Nights label on them, to me, makes about as much sense as putting out a Forgotten Realms hardcover sourcebook that details a completely different setting than the Forgotten Realms.

At the very least, I love Waterdeep, so if this is done well, it should be a fun addition to the game.

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that this is a randomized dungeon crawl (that changes each time you play) using the Undermountain name.

Images and memories of games like Gauntlet (or old PC games like Telenguard http://vjetnam.hopto.org/big/t/telenguard_-800b.gif) spring to mind.

Anyway, I am just wondering how much of an actual FR story if any there will be.

Just My Thoughts
Chyron :)

The genre is much older than Diablo: Roguelike.

EDIT: A discussion of trying to do something like that with NWN with someone else is what lead to my current Undermountain game, actually.
