I have just looked through all the pages of the General Chat (9 in all) and I recognize those that appear from 1 through 8 and it seemed strange that the scribes had only produced one page from august to november, when I signed up. Then I looked at the thread IDs (indicating their age) and most threads previous to 70 were missing, with one exeption from the days when ArionElenim was still a newbie. To get back on track, why have they been removed? Reading these old topics from august and september makes me wish I had joined the forums they day the were launched. There are probably some here who can elaborate on how these seemingly empty halls must have appeared at that time. Well, at least reading the old Halruaa vs Thay was very entertaining - if you happen to have any idea as to what I am referring to.

Hi Echon

We are not archiving any posts on the forum. Dont forget that there are other sections to the forum such as the Novels and Products section. A quick glance through these showed topic ID's of 23, 50 and such.

I knew that. The reason I asked is because when viewing a member's profile, it says 'view all non-archived posts by xxx'. As an example: according to the profile, Admin has made one post but it is no longer there.

Beware! Speaking of IDs, this is number 666! This thread is foul!

Really? And here I thought it was just you . . . .

Hmm, is there a cleric-classed scribe here? You know . . . just in case?

Hell hath no fury like all of Candlekeep rising in defense of one of its own.

Hi Echon

The Admin account posted a test topic when the forum was being set up. Obviously this message was deleted, but the post count was not reset at the time.

As I mentioned before, we have switched off the Archive facility so that all topics are available for viewing without the need for the Search facility. (Now where did I put that second 250GB Hard Drive for the forum database? )
