I was just wondering if there was an official time of troubles chronology and if it was posted somewhere.

If not, how long did the period of the avatars last? I've been searching and searching and I haven't been able to find the answer.

Of course, its always in the last place you look.

You can always try Brian's A Grand History of the Realms for an accurate timeline of the events. 'Tis here at Candlekeep:- http://candlekeep.com/downloads/grandhistory.zip

forgotten realms atlas covers several trilogies, including the Avatar, which describes the time of troubles. events, maps, important/ relevant day count activities, who was doing what and when, etc. it is a good overview of the series and an excellent resource.

I know the first resource does not count the number of days the deities were cast down, though it appears to indicate it was less then a year.

Perhaps there is a date certain that exists indicating the cast out and then restoration, however I have not seen such. There are still deities that no information exists about during this time period (however long it was).

"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards."
"Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding.
"After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."

While I still have the book open, any other questions pertaining to the timeline during the time of troubles?
