I remember there was a TV series deal with Fireworks a few years back for a live action Forgotten Realms TV series. The deal ended, but at the time WotC said that they were in the talks for some other deals. Does anyone know what happened?

At Gen Con, a couple of years ago (at the big famous people who play D&D seminar), they mentioned that the rights were in negotiation for an FR based show (or perhaps movie), but didn't know when, what, or have any details. I haven't heard anything since then. |

It's a topic that comes up periodically, gets talked about for a while, and then is forgotten once more... |

Indeed.
If you perform a search here at Candlekeep you'll find several past scrolls dedicated to such discussion, as well as hypothetical casting choices made by some of us here.

Indeed, and Ed has commented on it in the past, look through my 2004 and 2005 indexes. :) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird
