I just picked up my copy of Realms of the Elves and I seen that the Realms of War is going to be released on Aug. 2008. How exciting! I can smell a great Zhentrium war story coming. I just have to 2 YEARS, 2 LONG YEARS.

Realms of War? What a good theme. Hope they ask me for a story. |

Sounds a bit simple, if i might say so. A simple title in comparison to the other books in the series. None the less a theme with great potential for entertaining stories. I hope you will get the opportunity to write such a story Richard. War... Appealing. |

I believe that "Realms of War" is the companion anthology to my upcoming "Twilight War" trilogy.
EDIT: Confirmed by WotC. It is the tie-in anthology to "Twilight War".

I'm ready and willing to write one as well -- though that doesn't mean they'll ask me.
'Twould be no easy task, paying tribute to such a writer as Paul (PSK = )

No harm in hoping. Any creative ideas for such a short story? Just a little teaser... |

Oooh! Then I definitely can't wait.
Paul, would you be willing to contribute anything to this anthology also if asked by WotC?

Sage,
I think it is WotC's practice that the writer of the trilogy to which the anthology is connected contribute a story to that anthology, as RLB did with "Realms of the Dragons I," as Rich Baker did with "Realms of the Elves," as Troy Denning did with "Realms of Shadow," etc.
So that is a long winded way of saying: Yes, I will be contributing a story to Realms of War.

Thanks Paul .
I'd already assumed that was the case... but I was just curious about whether, with your more recent work for the Realms, we'd definitely be seeing something more from your quill.

Huh what? I know I haven't been checking the boards often this past week, but where did this come from? What's the Twilight War trilogy? (It's rare that I learn who the author is, and that tie-ins are already planned, before I even know of the original product's existence... )
edit: (after going off and making friends with the search engine) Well, that explains why I didn't remember hearing about the series. The post in the novels forum was from way back in August. My belated congrats to Mr. Kemp. |
Doggedly converting 3e back to what D&D should be... Sigh... And now 4e as well. |

Well met
This is splendid news indeed. From the title, I never thought to tie this into the Twilight War... mayhaps 'tis too early in the morn |

Thank you, Hoondatha and Darkcrow.
And Darkcrow, I'm am not the editor of "Realms of War." I'll just be contributing one of the stories, along with rest of my fellow rogues, cads, and ne'er-do-wells...er...I mean...fellow FR authors.
