Thanks for this link, were some good footage. The graphics look far superior to the original. The henchman option is nice, as is the quest conversation. I might find the chat on top and bottom a bit hard to concentrate on, but we will see. |

Thank you dearly Dargoth, for the link. Much appreciated. We can only hope that NWN2 is realeased and is not only an exciting game, but is also packed with Realmsian Lore, forcing all of us to buy a copy. ;) |

Here's a lot of very useful info about the game. http://www.nwn2wiki.org/Main_Page
By the Tricksters curly toes those concept arts of elven subraces look sweet .
Also the gnomes are said to look much better (gods but I hated those Popeye arms in the original game ). |

NWN2 does look good. But then again, the Aurora Toolset seemd to be good, this was because Bioware had spent all but the 5 minutes they spent on the OC on the toolset. I'm not looking forward to NWN2, if nothing else, it'll feel buggy and rushed. If it's anything like the last game, we can expect a dull, painfully linear plot, with about as much imagination and creativity as paint stripper. Ooh! We can have a PARTY of THREE henchmen. Wow. Baldurs Gate (a much better game), had a party of six. If anything we're going backward. There's no guarantee these henchmen will have any personality whatsoever. One of them's likely to be Lady Aribeth. NWN2 will have an awful story, soporific henchmen, and an impossible to use toolset. Oh, and it'll all be geared toward munchkins. I can't wait. Sorry if this sounds grumpy, I've just come back from a sleepover with six straight boys. Ugh. I'm just glad I didn't say anyhting I'll regret. Anyway, I think I'll save my money, and buy a brick, to cave my skull in with. It'll be cheaper and more fun. |

Since it's designed by different people, there's no reason why any of that should be the case. |

As I said, I'm in a bad mood. Sorry if that post offended some people. To try and justify myself, though, NWN2 will be buggy and rushed, Atari are bringing it out to early andnot offering any bug support, to try and make money fast. It will be geared towards munchkins, in almost every article and interview I've read on NWN2, the designers have been solely interseted in the amount of Prestige Classes and OMG!UBER!!SPELLS! they can cram in. Atari will very likely want NWN2 to resemble NWN in terms of plot and characters. I'm hoping it won't be, but with Atari being involved in NWN, it's likely. I'll buy it, but probably for the toolset.

I could have sworn I read somewhere that the release date for NWN2 was pushed back to the end of November (I want to say the 28th for some reason), but for the life of me, I cannot recall where I read that.

The release of the full game is set at the end of the month (30th) for the US and beginning of next month (3rd) in Europe as far as I know.
The Toolset is absolutely great. The ALFA Team and myself have started working on the realms as we speak. I just can't wait to see Zhentil Keep come alive.
The sheer detail in landscaping, texturing, grass, water is incredible. The details in characters is going to be brilliantly unique. The only things which worry me at the moment is that there aren't enough placeables, but those can be added with time. And the biggest issue, an online persistant world having very few outdoor areas, because of the high CPU and RAM usage. But that still remains untested. |

They have released the manual for the game.
It's free and in pdf form.
It can be found here http://www.nwn2wiki.org/Manual |

Finally, Bioware does something right. I can't wait to get my hands on this game. It would be a great break from the WoW I have been playing constantly for 6 months now. Hail to a new FR game.

For what its worth, this month's PC Gamer has a "hand-on" for NWN2, and while its not a true review, the overview in this hands-on is pretty positive, and it not only mentions the implementation of classes and rules, but also the dialogue options for the character, which they say is pretty good for giving your character a wider range of personality traits than just "good, evil, or neutral."

It's unfortunate for some of us that our computers cannot withstand the extreme graphics of Neverwinter Nights. *sigh* Alas, my computer blew up before I even knew of NWN2 had come into existence...Well, maybe that's an exaggeration. Let's just say it wasn't pretty... |

Hells my system was only upgraded not even a year ago and I barely make the min requirements for NWN's2, so guess I won't be playing this until I get the money to upgrade to a 3 or 4 gig chip and 2 gig+ ram. :) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

My system has a gig of ram and the processor is only 1.8 hz. The vid card is g-force 6600 which runs the game just fine. So there is no need to wait until next year for the funds!

I hope Candlekeep continues to be the friendly forum of fellow Realms-lovers that it has always been, as we all go through this together. If you don’t want to move to the “new” Realms, that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with either you or the “old” Realms. Goodness knows Candlekeep, and the hearts of its scribes, are both big enough to accommodate both. If we want them to be. (Strikes dramatic pose, raises sword to gleam in the sunset, and hopes breeches won’t fall down.) Enough for now. The Realms lives! I have spoken! Ale and light wines half price, served by a smiling Storm Silverhand fetchingly clad in thigh-high boots and naught else! Ahem . . So saith Ed. <snip> love to all, THO

Hm. Those specs sounds promising.
My local gameshop hopes to get it tomorrow, but heavy snow in sweden may still ruin my weekend. |

Just watched the trailer for this game on the demo disk that came with this month's PC Gamer . . . this looked really interesting. The trailer shows a human (?) fighting some kind of fiend, and it looks like the fiend is using shadow magic (from the way they show its spells forming). Oddly enough, the most impressive thing to me in the trailer is that the opening shot shows Selune in the nightime sky being trailed by her tears . . . |

~Sigh~ I'm gonna have to get this game and get my D&D/Forgotten Realms fix. Books and reading forums isn't gonna cut it after looking at trailers and hearing some good things about NWN2. Currently where I am living (Minnesota, from Kentucky), I know no one who plays D&D the good old fashonied way. So, playing D&D the best way is out. I need a break from WoW anyways, this maybe just what I need. I'm needing a fix bad if ya know what I mean. |

It looks fairly promising, but I'm rather doubtful my computer would be up to it. |
