Hi all. Small Realmslore question that been eluding me: when did Siluvanede fall? I know it got annexed by Eaerlann after the Seven Citadel's War, but I can't find a mention of when it fell. Was it at the same time as Eaerlann?
I ask this because, while technically ruled by Eaerlann, there's a sense that Siluvanede retained at least its name and some of its status after being conquered. How did the elves react after they lost the war? Did they eventually leave? Or were they peacefully assimilated into Eaerlann and fell at the same time? (The short story at the start of Best of Eddie seams to say no; though the elf turned out to be an imposter, no one thought the way he was acting was out of character)

The elder elves of Sharrven and Evereska saw the danger of allowing them to continue unwatched, and gave aid to the younglings of Eaerlann. From the next page of history we are offered this:

The Slaughter of Sharrven: The elven realm of Sharrven fragments and falls due to an inexplicable explosion of the monstrous population within the southern High Forest. Survivors flee to Eaerlann and Evereska, and the realm lies vacant but for a few settlements and outposts (though the southern forest retain the name "Sharrven" until the modern era). While proof is sorely lacking, the paranoid elves of Siluvanede quickly blame the power-hungry mages of Netheril, and vow to slay any Netherese wizard that strays into their western High Forest realm." |

But is there any mention of it after -2770 DR? It's conquered in -4300, but its cities are intact and it remains paranoid off in its section of the forest for at least another 1500 years, and quite possibly more. Are there any other mentions of it anywhere?
Maybe I should wander over and ask Ed. |

Not that I recall.
I've even had a quick look through "A Grand History of the Realms" by our own Brian James. -2770 DR remains the last entry for anything relating to Siluvanede.

In my North Timeline (revised for LEoF), I had the following:
c. 250 The gold elves of Siluvanede begin a retreat to Evermeet in the face of increasing human settlement of the regions bordering the High Forest. Within two hundred years this realm is no more as its citizens bandon their homes, using High Magic to erase much of the evidence of their settlement there.
The reason for this is that Ed in his Athalantar article makes it clear that Siluvanede is still around in the early 200s DR (see the "Best of Eddie Collection" for the short story featuring an elven lord of this land). However, given the rise of the human realms of the Dessarin Valley in this century and into the next couple, culminating in the founding of Phalorm in 523 DR, I thought it likely that Siluvanede, xenophobic to all others (including other elves) would likely have dwindled into nothingness as time went on.
Just my thoughts.

Thanks George. I figured it had to be something quiet like that, since something as noisy as a military campaign would have been noted in the timelines.
In a related question, what were the historical boundaries of Siluvanede, Sharrven, and Eaerlann? (beyond "western High Forest," "southern High Forest," and "northeastern High Forest," respectively) Where did the three empires draw their boundaries. Even general ideas of the expanse of their territories would be helpful. |

 Your guess is as good as anyone's, I think. There aren't any geographic parameters for Sharrven that I know of, and Eaerlann is dealt with in the old FR5 Savage Frontier accessory as I recall. Siluvanede may have its geography noted in Ed's Athalantar article (Dragon #226 ?) but no-where else I think unless its an obscure source like the fey'ri write-up in Cloak & Dagger.

I don't recall any such details from that article, but I can say that the article was in issue 228. |

is there any information on Siluvaneden clans and lists of noble houses? or famous characters?
i mean besides the dlardrageths
I playing a character who is an evil but still elven sun elf wizard
and in order to roleplay him well i wanted to have his family history be related to this (also in part to justify him owning a golden orb of siluvanede)
I think its so interesting how elves can be summoning fiends etc. but still calim tehy are good or stick to principles like protecting the forest
etc. |

Look in the Dragon article on Athalantar and Lost Empire. There's a seer named who lived in Lothen of the Silver Spires, the southernmost city of Siluvanede.
