Anyone ever have one of these? I've had a couple in the last week.
The first had Elaine Cunningham posting on her website about her new book...and revealing how she'd joined the Nazi Party. Seeing talk about Arilyn and Danilo mixed in with great plans for the Fourth Reich was disturbing, to say the least.
The second got mixed in with a scenario about a superhero LARP; Khelben Arunsun had called in John Keel (of The Mothman Prophecies to investigate weird lights outside a bar. Somehow, like I said, this led to a group of Random Dream-People arguing about a superhero LARP, while Khelben washed glasses and weird lights zoomed up and down the street.

I've had a dream where I tried to hold a sensible conversation with Elmister, but it kept diverting to hot chicks and good pipe smoking technique.
I've had dreams of playing chess with various FR characters as well....who plays chess in their dreams.
The only other thing I've dreamed about is tring to taste the rare and exotic foods and drinks. I have no comprehension of what they taste like, but in my dreams they are good. |

While the first dream sounds rather extreme as oposed to the second, it certainly is posible for a person to dream about something like either.
Sometimes it is a what if, sometimes trying to sort out posibilities of ways to solve a problem. Dearm stage does allow for dealing with events problems of the day, but also can indicate subconsions desires and preferences. No one dearm means anything, a series of dearms might mean something, a lot of dreams could mean you are a artist that just not writting yet or indeed could mean you need help (there is no way for anyone on the internet to be able to advise you about how important or minor your dreams are).
Dreams also can be caused by stress factors with real life, just your mind uses fantasy figures to try to deal with them.
As for dreams, at times I have had some about internet communications and roleplaying, these tended to fall into the catagory of problem solving (sometimes something that I should have posted) or stress/concern (about what might be posted).
Do not worry much about it if you had a few dreams that you recall, most people apparently do not recall many of their dreams according to sleep studies. |

Kential - you need to live my life one of these days. Try dreaming dreams and then having them actually occur, at least once or twice a week. Dreams aren't just dreams...least mine aren't :/
I have had one about Guildwars before where I was Neriandal Freit (my character) and was all casting like. Course, I am a NG Half Elf Wizard of Mystra :) (A fun test, rather true to me too) |

Dreams are rather interesting in what they can do. In some cases the mind does appear to connect the dots quicker in dream then in Real Life. The mind notices everything however on in waken time concertrates on the most important things. It does not matter all that much details of when a person is speaking to you, the consious mind concentrates most on words said, tone of voice, then body language, then things like clothes worn, hair style, picture in the background. Sometimes indeed in your dreams you will know a future outcome because of the smaller things all add up to it. The clues are seen, but set aside for reflection later. Of course it is posible to be a seer as well if you believe in such things (or even if you do not). |

The only dreams I ever seem to have is of being a Dark Elf and fighting in a mountain pass. I have no idea why or what exactly I am fighting, I only remember the light stinging my eyes and having my heart beat a thousand miles per hour as I am defending myself. Very strange, but I've dreamt that same dream like 6 times.

This topic sounds very interesting, and nice dream of yours, CFB, nice and heroic too.
I also used to have many bizarre dreams as well ever since I took up FR and D&D roleplaying. I could not recall most but there are some that struck deeply into my mind. Yeah, these dreams of mine ranged from hilarious to dangerous.
The dangerous dreams I still remember today, was dreaming of talking with the Spider-Queen Lolth, odd that she looked half of what she is in the potraits in FR Faiths and Pantheons, for her lower half of her body was the body of a hairy black spider! She looked quite beautiful and striking. The surroundings was much like an Underdark cavern and I only remembered seeing faint green light in the surroundings. We were finger-pointing at each other and arguing hotly(can't remember what we were arguing about) for it progressed onto fights. I recalled facing down hordes of spiders-big and small ones and of many colors- with blade till I was overwhelmed by huge black spiders and I went down cursing Lolth's name while she laughed and laughed. I did recalled being bitten by the spiders, the pain felt damn real and dreamt of it about five times.(I am not lying about this)
The other dangerous dream was standing in the front row of a line of field-plate covered men, the symbol of the purple dragon on our armors, yes this I remembered clearly. I only recalled shouts calling on us to get to the huge black iron door on the mountain side, myself fighting and stabbing down hordes of what seemed like half-crab monsters, stabbing pain and hacking coughs from myself and everyone around me. I don't remember whether I did managed to reach the iron door either. But I dreamt it thrice, and again I am not lying. |
We have fostered trust, recruited loyalty, and gathered the faithful. We have trained thousands. Our legions can cover the land, fill the sky and travel through the darkness. We can hunt any and all that would deny our heritage. ok guys, maybe a little tooo much FR in your day, as Scererar remembers his many dreams about the realms, that he may or may not share. I do remember a "RL" situation. When I was in recruiter school for the Army, I remember dreaming about a sales presentation and my roomate waking me up to say shut up. the moral of the story is too much of anything thing can lead to some weird dreams. |

You should never, ever dream of recruiting school! Especially since Recruiters are despised once people join up. I always tell all my non-military friends - you remember two types of people: your recruiter, and your Drill Sergeants!!

I think it is not odd or uncommon to have dreams realated, in this case, to the forgotten Realms, as long as you keep in touch with them constantly, as long as someone who usually watches the Lord of the Rings movies would dream in him/herself appearing in them... |

Well, mine could be considered to be FR dreams of sorts as I've dreamt about meeting Ed, Steven and Eric at a GEN-CON (Ed even gave me a big hug!). I've promised myself that it'll happen in the next couple of years - and heck, I'll demand the hug too.

You had better! You can't half-fulfill your dreams now, Krash!
I just had another of my Dark Elven dreams (I really should stop reading WotSQ books before bed), but this one has the viewpoint of a FPS (too much Call of Duty 2). Oh well, who says you can't mix your favorite things?
