Power of Faerūn is the only one I'm really looking forward to... Though there are a couple of other books I may try to get on the cheap. |

Yeah, that certainly does look like a Dracolich.
And what the heck is up with Tome of Magic? Like I need three new systems of magic. Bah. C'mon WotC!!
I agree with Wooly - PoF is the most promising (and some of the d20 stuff, but that's a different story!)

Yeah War Drums and Powers of Faerun are it for me
Gee Races of Dragons looks like a real waste doesnt it? and how much do you want to bet that the stuff on the Half Dragons is ripped straight from the Draconomicon? |

All I can say is that with the exception of the Realms stuff, the line up for the new year looks pretty meh. Spell Compendium I will eventually pick up, I'll take a look at the Player's Guide to Eberron. As to the D20 stuff, if I want to do something other than Fantasy, I'll go with GURPS. I have several issues with things in the D20 system, especially the wealth system (abstract wealth is so stupid). |

I remember the old Marvel Super Heroes game where you had a wealth "rank" and you made resource rolls to see if you could afford things. Indeed, it did drive you nuts trying to figure out why you couldn't just save up for things, etc. |

There's a reference to a dracolich in the ECS-remember, they're in core lore since the 3e Draconomicon, so...
Stuff that I'll be collecting, hopefully: Spell Compendium Races of the Dragon(if nothing, I'm a sucker for grafts, period) Player's Guide to Eberron(so.beautiful.) Tome of Magic(A new system for shadow magic is great, and having a true name magic system on the top is just icing) Power of Faerun(oddly enough, I keep looking for high-level content, even though I haven't had a party get over 5th level in over a year...I just hope it won't suddenly stop at 20th level.) |

Looking forward to Power of Faerūn. I hear the web-enhancement will be a good'un too (assuming it sees the light of day. Just what did happen to the rest of Eric's CoS web enhancement ...??).

Yeah, but in that game, you didn't lose Wealth for buying stuff though. |

Highly tempted by the Tome of Magic, particularly when it mentions Plane of Shadow. I also still want to see whether the True Name stuff will work well with Arcana Evolved. |

Well, I just ignore the Wealth ranks - they are abstract and a bit strange. I just use (when I play d20 modern) common sense. If your character is a nightclub owner, you can afford some things. If he's a vigilante with the day job of working at McDonalds... well, that's different.
