I know these types of threads have been done to death but I'm drawing a blank. I need a name for a sentient magic item.

The item is going to be an Intelligent Morningstar to be wielded by a Cleric of Bane. The weapon was created by a high ranking Banite and will speak Infernal if that helps at all.

I was thinking Black Fist, Black Guantlet, Black Hand, or some other name that sounds like Bane but then I was thinking, something more infernal sounding may be more appropriate.

Looking for suggestions....

Thanks

Isn't there some language translator like the dwarves and elves, where you could translate Black Hand or something you want into a name more gutteral and infernal in it's own language.
I always prefer names to correspond with their background and heritage?

Thanks for the help. I don't know about any Infernal translators...I don't think they're quite as common on the net as Dwarven and Elven. Maybe I can find a Tolkien translator with the tongue of Mordor???

KnightErrantJR-
Thanks for the name. Can I ask where you got a translation of Black Teeth? Is there a source out there with this type of thing in it?

Gaelic translations also make for good names as well, very period if somewhat hard to pronounce.

How about the Black whack? No seriously hmmm how about "Pain-Bringer" or "Souless night" or for real kicks "Shuden freud" meaning roughly having joy in others pain. Attached to a weapon like that the name gives me the willys.

Die, die, die ,die, die, why won't you just die you silly dragon!

The Subjugator? The Black Prod? The Goad of Mahnys? Slaver's Yoke? Hell's Fist? Fear's Flog? Ummmm, now I'm just being silly !!
