*grins* Aww, thanks, but I wouldn't mind if you got a similar tattoo. |

Well, if I did - it wouldn't be on the ankle. That's only good looking on women.

Definitely a way for those less hirsute to suddenly have massive amounts of hair on their chests.
Much as I love him, I don't think I'd ever get Ed's face tattooed on me. It'd be like that X-Files episode with the Madonna tattoo constantly trying to get me to do naughty things...
Nah--next up is a ring of holly leaves around the top of my right bicep, then a ring of oak leaves around the left; after that I may get Khelben's mark somewhere on me (but not where Laeral's put hers....) |

Nice, Steven!
I am still debating getting a ring in Espruar around my left bicep. I think that would Realms-like and still look way cool.
Where exactly did Laeral put hers? And was this during the Crown of Thorns incident?

No, the tattoo's more recent than that, and Laeral's reply to you:

Unless she's wearing those low cut jeans so when she sits down you can see it on her lower back. :) You have to be sly about these things. |

Just make sure you have a steady hand or it will look retarded. Better to pay a professional than do it yourself I learned.
And its better if you are too scared or uncommitted for a real tattoo. |

Oh, it's nowhere it'd be visible in the sorts of gowns one would wear to a noble's gala.....or else the gossips of the upper city would already be broadcasting how the Blackstaff brands his woman as well as chains her (with that anklet). |

Actually - he was saving it, for his argent-haired foxy lady!
Seriously though - I know Thayvians love tattoos - do you think they tattoo or brand their slaves? The reason I ask is because tattoos are used to signify class and status - especially amongst the Red Wizards? Do you think they'd ever allow a slave to have body art?

All right, thanks for the tip, Kianna. I'm adventurous enough to try to do it myself, but still...:) |

Although, wouldn't that be something for Laeral to do, anyway? Since there are already rumors about the anklets (which Laeral doesn't deny), why not go all the way, just for fun? |

Just a brief blip here, as tattoos are on my mind this morning.
I SHOULD stay home and continue proofing the BLACKSTAFF galleys.
I'm more tempted to go and get a tattoo so as to avoid a rush to get one just before GenCon.
If I'd ever managed to find or produce a decent image of holly leaves and berries I'd want as an armband, I'd do that now.
As it is, I'm almost more tempted to take the old Grey Box book and have Khelben's wizard mark tattooed somewhere on my upper arms or chest. I'd put it over my heart, but there's a tattoo there already.
Well, in any case, Happy New Year to ye FR-ink-fans! |

How Khelben's wizard mark looks like anyway? |

Don't know of any online sources of the mark, alas.
Well, if I'm lucky, I'll be able to get it made into a rubber stamp for signing BLACKSTAFF when it comes out in the summer. (Well, that along with my signature, one would think...)

Not I, but for those questioning earlier about Khelben's mark, it's the mark beneath my name here on Candlekeep.

Indeed. And the image was on one of the cardstock sheets in the 2E FRCS boxed set. |
