Well met one and all,
This humble seeker is honored to be found finally worthy to travel these halls. Please though, if you find me wandering randomly, point me in the correct direction.(So many twists and turn in here)

When did 'common sense' cease to be common?

Oh don't worry . . . just make sure you avoid our august and most snappy dresser, his well dressedness the esteemed Alaundo's Staff of the Irritated Moderator (he uses it sparringly, but to go effect). And the giant space hampster is a good one to follow around . . . as long as he isn't led astray by our lovely Hooded One.

Trust me when I say, if you stick around here long enough all of the above will make more sense than you care for it to, and also trust me when I say this is a great community with some great people to chat and discuss a wonderful hobby with. Well met, and I look forward to your input.

(Now just let me try to untangle my syntax here . . . hm . . . I hope Alaundo doensn't take notice of my ever so subtle comments about his dressing habits again . . . )

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Of course, if he is, you might want to follow, I've a hunch it could be entertaining.

There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist.

Hmmpf! Aye, and I'm not sure thou hast seen the end of this staff, as of yet, KnightErrantJR

Well met, Kes_Alanadel, and welcome to Candlekeep.

I hope ye enjoy thy stay herein, for there is much knowledge and Realmslore to be learnt.

If I can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact me.

Okay . . . she should fit in fine . . . welcome to Candlekeep . . . and watch out for the robes Alaundo will try to give you . . . their terribly out of fashion and notoriouly itchy . . . I'll try to hook you up with some nice silk "dancing halfling" embroidered robes like I got the big guy himself . . .

Right, watch out for the staff, follow the hampster, and Shine the Gnome's Shoes

^Kicks up his feet^

Personally, I'm a big fan of a much more moderate shine. And don't go stingy on the sides...

^notices some not so amused higher scribes are in the room^

...Uh, did I say shine shoes? I meant read books! ...and uh, ya...enjoy your stay.

^goes invisible for the sake of not being polymorphed into something rather unnatural^

*slight bow* I do try to fit in KnightErrantJR, but tend to just be a silent observer. The robes would be wonderful....as long as they aren't followed by a thump from Alaundo's staff. Chances are I will be spending most of my time finding information from about 10DR, so I may have a few questions then.

Many apologies Sir Luther but I own no polish, being a fan of soft boots. Besides, wouldn't you take a chance of getting it on the books?

10 DR . . . any particular region? Or event that might bring your attention to this particular time period?

I am actually looking for information from -400 to 10DR for a campaign I am running, a "lost ancestor" type thing that is set in Earlann and the Serpent Hills. Kuje has helped me a bunch already with it (thanks a million), so now it's just finding relavent facts and ideas
