These are really fun.

This is just in.

I am Talanfir Swiftfeet. (In)famous across the Swoardcoast as "Tal the Swift", Brandobaris´ seraph of mischief. If ye find yer shoelaces tied together while trying to catch a thief or meet a king who is angry because somebody switched the places of his chamberpot and his crown, ye can usually (try to) find me near.

If I had a halfling mother and a human father, would I be a half-halfling or a threequarterling?

I like that, great hook, and the touch about the insulting gesture is the kind of detail that lifts it up beyond the norm.

Life is either daring adventure or nothing.

Anyone else picturing Wayne's World, fish hook, fish hook! while reading that?

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Very interesting, seeing as I have a young Lathanderite in my party and they just happened to be based out of Waterdeep. Thanks Dargoth.

If I waited till I knew what I was doing, I'd never get anything done.

I like this one! Though that "frivolity" bit is a red flag for prospective females at there, since that word can mean a large number of things... Just as "hard-drinking" could possibly be a euphemism for "alcoholic".

"Instead of asking why we sleep, it might make sense to ask why we wake. Perchance we live to dream. From that perspective, the sea of troubles we navigate in the workaday world might be the price we pay for admission to another night in the world of dreams."

Hello-

I know another sage made mention of this - but we are Severly lacking in Realmslore via the WOTC site.

Especially ironic is that since this article was released on 12/25:

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dd/20061225b

There has been ONE Realms article a Waterdeep News - in just over 2 weeks.

Seems pretty much like they are not keeping their own listed release schedule. I would also like to think that perhaps their Web Guy has taken some vacation. :)

Just thought I'd point out this article in case anyone missed it too.

I've been lurking and have noticed this as well. It's really too bad.

Either Ed has taken a vacation from realmslore (unlikely ), or someone over there is slacking.

And if the PCs DO win their ways through all the liches to Larloch, “he” will almost certainly be just another lich (loaded with explosive spells) set up as a decoy, with dozens of hidden liches waiting to pounce on any surviving PCs who ‘celebrate’ after they take Larloch down. As the REAL Larloch watches (magical scrying) from afar. Myself, as DM, I’d be wondering: “Such a glorious game, so many opportunities laid out before your PCs to devote your time to, and THIS fixation is the best you can come up with? Are you SURE you’re adventurers?” -Ed Greenwood
