Amulet of Phelthong: Named for the drow wizard of fabled powers who devised them long ago, these rare, fist-sized obsidian pendants are carved into smiling drow faces. In Menzoberranzan, they are worn only by powerful master mages of Sorcere. Such amulets have the following powers: • Comprehend Languages whenever held or worn. • Quickened Dimension Door twice per day, by silent mental command. • Quickened Obscuring Mist once per day, by silent mental command. • Timestop once every 12 days, by speaking a secret command word while touching the amulet to a magical item (which is forever drained). Source: Menzoberranzan boxed set, converted to 3.5E by Joseph Weber. Strong Abjuration, Conjuration, Divination, and Transmutation; CL 18th; Craft Wondrous Item, Quicken Spell, Comprehend Languages, Dimension Door, Mordenkainen’s Disjunction, Obscuring Mist, Timestop; Price 200,000 gp.
Orb of Radiance: These hand-sized globes of polished white quartz are among the most valued items of drow mages, who use them to defend themselves against drow attack (or to sufficiently impress other drow, particularly hostile priestesses, that attacks can be avoided). Any being who knows the command words can use an Orb of Radiance, as long as some part of their skin is in direct contact with it. While they hold it or carry it on their person, they make all saving throws against any sort of magic at a -1 penalty. It is whispered that these rare items were first fashioned with the aid of surface-world priests of other faiths. In Menzoberranzan, such items are carried only by wizards of Sorcere, or perhaps as hidden treasures by nobles of one or more of the most powerful noble Houses. When directed, an Orb of Radiance can emit a: • Sunbeam (four times per day): as the spell, command words: “Delather myarra heth!” • Persistent Light (once every other round, remains in globe where cast, not moving with orb, and unless dispelled by other means, lasts exactly 1 day from casting), command word: “Aumrae!” • Ruby Ray (once per day, effects as Ruby Ray of Reversal), each time the Ruby Ray power is activated it drains 1d4+1 hit points from the orb-user; such lost hit points can be regained by normal healing means. The command word for this power is: “Raspra!” Source: Menzoberranzan boxed set, converted to 3.5E by Joseph Weber. Strong Abjuration and Evocation; CL 13th; Craft Wondrous Item, Extend Spell, Persistent Spell, Light, Ruby Ray of Reversal, Sunbeam; Price 409,500 gp.
Robe of the Archmage of Ched Nasad: This black spidersilk robe is embroidered with mithral thread in a spiderweb design. It provides a +8 armor bonus, a +5 resistance bonus on all saving throws and a +6 enhancement bonus to Intelligence and Wisdom. Magic Missiles striking the wearer are automatically negated, just as if they had impacted a target protected by a Shield spell. Source: Created by Joseph Weber. Strong Abjuration, Conjuration, Transmutation; CL 16th; Craft Wondrous Item, Fox’s Cunning, Mage Armor, Owl’s Wisdom, Resistance, Shield, Creator must be a Drow; Price 241,500 gp; Weight 1 lb.
Staff of the Abyss: This +5 anarchic unholy cold iron staff radiates great power evil power, it has heavily engraved with images of demons its entire length. House Auvryndar, 4th House of Ched Nasad:

Skills and Feats (counting all modifiers except equipment and attributes): Bluff +13, Concentration +15, Diplomacy +10, Heal +4, Hide +8, Intimidate +5, Knowledge (Arcana) +7, Knowledge (The Planes) +10, Knowledge (Religion) +15, Listen +12, Move Silently +8, Search +12, Sense Motive +12, Speak Language (Elven, Undercommon, Abyssal, Draconic, Drow Sign Language, Illuskan), Spellcraft +15, Spot +12. Alertness (b), Combat Reflexes (b), Dodge (b), Exotic Weapon (Scourge), Improved Initiative (b), Improved Turn Resistance, Leadership, Lightning Reflexes (b), Positive Energy Resistance, Scribe Scroll, Spell Penetration. Special Qualities: Drow traits: +2 Racial bonus on Listen, Search (entitled to a Search check when passing within 5 feet of a secret or concealed door), and Spot checks; Darkvision 120 ft.; Immune to Sleep; +2 Racial bonus on saves vs Enchantments; +2 Racial bonus on Will saves vs Spells and Spell-like Abilities; SR 27. Undead traits. Vampire traits: +8 Racial bonus to Bluff, Hide, Listen, Move Silently, Search, Sense Motive, and Spot checks; Natural Armor +6. Aura of Evil (equal to cleric level); Rebuke Undead as 16th level cleric 11/day. Alternate Form (Su): Shyntlara can assume the shape of a bat, dire bat, wolf, or dire wolf as a standard action. This ability is similar to a polymorph spell cast by a 12th-level character, except that Shyntlara does not regain hit points for changing form and must choose from among the forms mentioned here. While in an alternate form, Shyntlara loses her slam attack and dominate ability, but gains the natural weapons and extraordinary special attacks of her new form. She can remain in that form until she assumes another or until the next sunrise. Damage Reduction (Su): Shyntlara has damage reduction 10/silver and magic. Shyntlara’s natural weapons are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. Fast Healing (Ex): Shyntlara heals 5 points of damage each round so long as she has at least 1 hit point. If reduced to 0 hit points in combat, she automatically assumes gaseous form and attempts to escape. She must reach her coffin home within 2 hours or be utterly destroyed. (She can travel up to nine miles in 2 hours.) Any additional damage dealt to Shyntlara after being forced into gaseous form has no effect. Once at rest in her coffin, Shyntlara is helpless. She regains 1 hit point after 1 hour, then is no longer helpless and resumes healing at the rate of 5 hit points per round. Gaseous Form (Su): As a standard action, Shyntlara can assume gaseous form at will as the spell (caster level 5th), but she can remain gaseous indefinitely and has a fly speed of 20 feet with perfect maneuverability. Resistances (Ex): Shyntlara has resistance to cold 10 and electricity 10. Spider Climb (Ex): Shyntlara can climb sheer surfaces as though with a spider climb spell. Turn Resistance (Ex): Shyntlara has +4 turn resistance. Blood Drain (Ex): Shyntlara can suck blood from a living victim with her fangs by making a successful grapple check. If she pins her foe, she drains blood, dealing 1d4 points of Constitution drain each round the pin is maintained. On each such successful attack, Shyntlara gains 5 temporary hit points. Children of the Night (Su): Shyntlara can command the lesser creatures of the world and once per day can call forth 1d6+1 rat swarms, 1d4+1 bat swarms, or a pack of 3d6 wolves as a standard action. These creatures arrive in 2d6 rounds and serve Shyntlara for up to 1 hour. Dominate (Su): Shyntlara can crush an opponent’s will just by looking onto his or her eyes. This is similar to a gaze attack, except that Shyntlara must use a standard action, and those merely looking at her are not affected. Anyone Shyntlara targets must succeed on a Will save (DC 26) or fall instantly under the Shyntlara’s influence as though by a Dominate Person spell (caster level 12th). The ability has a range of 30 feet. Create Spawn (Su): A humanoid or monstrous humanoid slain by Shyntlara’s energy drain rises as a vampire spawn 1d4 days after burial. If Shyntlara instead drains the victim’s Constitution to 0 or lower, the victim returns as a spawn if it had 4 or less HD and as a vampire if it had 5 or more HD. In either case, the new vampire or spawn is under the command of Shyntlara and remains enslaved until her destruction. At any given time Shyntlara may have enslaved spawn totaling no more than her Hit Dice; any spawn she creates that would exceed this limit are created as free-willed vampires or vampire spawn. A vampire that is enslaved may create and enslave spawn of its own, so a master vampire can control a number of lesser vampires in this fashion. A vampire may voluntarily free an enslaved spawn in order to enslave a new spawn, but once freed, a vampire or vampire spawn cannot be enslaved again. Energy Drain (Su): Living creatures hit by Shyntlara’s slam attack gain two negative levels. For each negative level bestowed, Shyntlara gains 5 temporary hit points. Shyntlara can use her energy drain ability once per round. Spell-like Abilities (as 16th level caster) 1/day–Dancing Lights, Darkness, Faerie Fire. Cleric Spells Prepared (6/8+1/8+1/7+1/6+1/6+1/5+1/4+1/3+1; base DC = 22 + spell level, caster level 16th). Deity: Lolth. Hi Warlocko. Congratulation for the excellent work. Green giant also! I have a small request to make. I'm looking for stats for some Cormyrean Characters? Those less known. Such characters as Myrmeen Lhal, Laspeera. Could you help me? Thanks ahead. Just the Qindahearted |

Thanks, glad you like them.
I'll see what I can do, but will be a bit on the difficult side for me at the moment, recently had the vast majority of my 3E books taken, but will see what I can dig up on them in 2E and bother some friends that might have some 3E books that might have some info. |

Anyway I appreciatte the gesture, if you can't it's only understandable. We all have many things to do. Sincerely Just the Qindahearted |

Jathalaera Sire, is the one I think you meant. Or is it, Shandel Iribar? Or maybe, Danreth Tallathern? Or Szuldas Andlath? Or Arleera Landreth? Or Baerant Telcharr? It's not Gundlar Ironcrown, since you mentioned him. Nor is it Abbess Alaecathra Shuinrond, since, again, you mentioned her. :)
But all of them are part of the Seekers.

Hey Warlockco
Glad to see you still visit
I hope the health issues are not serious.
I appreciate you looking at these NPC's and am pretty much guaranteed some amazing creations!
Just so you know, I finally used Uthaedeol the Blood Drenched against the group. It took me ages to build up to it but it was truly worth it! Only one of my players had seen the posts on the forums and his reaction in RL was hilarious
It was a case of "Oh, is that the time?? I must be off... work tomorrow!" /runs
Hope you are well though and thanks again. |

Hello Warlockco!
Respect to thee for your creative work and especially the patience to work out/convert all those NPCs in detail! Great work!
Just to add one more to the list of requests - a big fish - one that might be tempting you: Sammaster Firstspeaker
I am working on him as well at the moment. I will come back here once I finished him to compare the results! |

Glorious Dawn: This heavy mace of pure silver bears many powerful enchantments against undead and evil. Glorious Dawn is a +4 Flaming Ghost Touch Holy Silver Heavy Mace of Disruption. Glorious Dawn, being made of magically hardened silver does an additional point of damage to creatures with damage reduction that is bypassed by silver. The head of Glorious Dawn is engraved with many runes and symbols of good and light. Only in the hands of a good cleric with the sun domain does Glorious Dawn reveal its full glory, in the hands anyone else it functions as a +4 Silver Heavy Mace, except when facing undead, then Glorious Dawn flares to life to destroy the undead only to fall dormant again after the undead have been destroyed. Glorious Dawn cannot abide the touch of evil, bestowing two negative levels on any evil creature attempting to wield it. The negative levels remain as long as the weapon is in hand and disappears when the Glorious Dawn is no longer wielded. These negative levels never result in actual level loss, but cannot be overcome in any way (including Restoration spells) while Glorious Dawn is wielded. Source: Created by Joseph Weber. I am running a present day Realms campaign and would like to use Aleena Paladinstar. I know what her levels are thanks to City of Splendors: Waterdeep, but I haven't seen an age listed. I always try to give an accurate discription of the characters that I use, but haven't seen anything on her. Can anyone help me out? Thanks! |

Hope this helps if you don't have 2E Waterdeep and it's not too late:
Aleena Paladinstar, DEX 16, INT 18, WIS 16, CHA 16
Description: Aleena would be considered one of the most beautiful women in Waterdeep today, were she not so intimidating. Among the attributes she shares with her father Piergeiron are her finely chiseled features, bright, unflinching eyes of olive green, a reclusive, thoughtful nature, and a deeply-ingrained sense of justice and law; she is also as tall as her father, and once disguised herself as him by wearing his full armor. From her mother, Aleena gets her curly auburn locks, her grace and poise, and a penchant for magic.

Penknight, I like you always want to know how old a person is. But as I discovered last night reading the 1st FRCS (Black Box set) age can be hard to determine in a world where magic is abundant. Example: Azoun IV's oldest daughter (Tantalansa, sp?)was born in 1309 according to 1st edition so she was like 60+ when she had her child Azoun the 5th according to the 3rd edition FRCS. |
Turox Antas Dragonslayer - "People will believe anything they want to believe, or fear to believe." Wizard's First Rule: Chapter 36, Page #397, US Hard Cover (revealed by Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander). Explanation by Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander: "People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."

I appreciate the info. I guess then that people of the Realms are in a state of time freeze then, eh? I will definetly will keep this in mind in my campaign then. |
