Hi folks!

I have updated the Home page of my homepage My start page was quite empty for too long, and I have now added some text. What do you think?

Link to my homepage (the start page, Home):

And, this is the text that I have added ... can always be modified ...

quote:
The Northern Dalelands Campaign
Welcome to the Northern Dalelands Campaign!

This campaign is set in Daggerdale and Shadowdale. If you want to know more about this two Dales, I recommend that you read the campaign expansion Shadowdale from the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting box from 1996, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Volos's Guide to the Dalelands (also from 1996), and the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting from 2001. You will find, that you will need to read even more books to fully understand those Dales, and you will want to learn more about the Realms.

However, there are many questions that lacks an answer, and you will need to fill the gaps by yourself, or with the help of fellow fans of the Realms. For the later, I recommend that you visit Candlekeep's forum. For the first, well, I turn to the Sweden of the 12th and 13th century. Actually, I do not limit myself to those two centuries. As the Forgotten Realms is a fantasy setting, time floats. But again, I fall back to Sweden of the past. In my view of the Dalelands, the people of the Dales share the minds of the people that populated provinces (landskap) such as Västergötland, Östergötland, and Dalecarlia (Dalarna).
So, what do you think? Suggestions? Questions?

I like it! I think its a great start... it motivates me to make my own website for my games, but I have no idea how to do it. That's what I get for paying too much attention to books and not enough on the world!!!

Still rockin' the Fey'ri style.

Oh please! Don't feel bad! I am a technology nut but as far as the internet goes I am way behind. My friends criticise me for getting the highest end computers I can yet I do not how to change instant messenger settings.

I don't really care.. I am not much of a chatter. And to set up a web page would jsut take too much time so I never learned.

As a fellow fan of Daggerdale, I *love* your web site! It's been bookmarked and noted for frequent visiting. :)

I plan on using some of your material in my homebrew FRCS campaign. Especially the stuff in Maplewood Thorp.

I'll be checking out the Volo's Guide to the Dalelands tonight and hopefully post some more ideas or questions later on.

Cheers!

That's where my current campaign is set; I'll definitely be having a look through your stuff in greater detail.

I am not much into web sites myself. However I am always interested in the FR and other campaigns. So a nice start that you have there. Overall a little more color would be nice though!

You know, when I first responded to this thread ... it was because I found it in a search for "Daggerdale". I didn't notice until later that the thread was last updated over a year ago! Yikes!

Anyhoo, it's still a fabulous web site, webmanus. :)

Any updates on your current state or what's soon-to-be-published?

Best regards.

Thanks Snow. I have been very busy lately. I work with the speed of a snail with an adventure for my party. It is all in Swedish. I have the ambition to keep updating my web page with information about the world (my FR campaign) for my players. I might write in Swedish, or in English. I would like to write about places and how common people view their world...

Pretty good. I have tried to make websites for my campaigns for my players to follow but always end up spending no more than 5-10 minutes and then stopping for a year. I should try and at least do the same as you.
