I have recently been promoted to learned scribe and, though it is a title that are belittled by the epic sages of the realms who frequent this site, I am thrilled of the brotherhood of scholars i have been accepted into. I have for a short while been a member of this great halls and I am humbled by the amount of lore present here. To all of you:"I thank you and accept the title of learned scribe with great pride and honor and I put my humble self at your service. How may I serve you great Alaundo of Candlekeep?".

Congratulations!

But don't say it too loudly... Big Al likes to pile more scrolls on people as they gain rank...

Or whip them. :)

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird
