I just noticed that I have attained "Lerned Scribe" status. I kvell at this. Frankly, compared to the many sages here, I feel more like a "Sophomore," a "Learned Fool." I bow low before the assembled knowledge of the sages here!

I have a mouth, but I am in a library and must not scream.

Congratulations Jamallo!

Don't fret over such a ranking. To me, you're fast becoming another important member-scribe of the wonderful community that is Candlekeep.

I look forward to all our future discussions .

This Senior asks what kvell might be?

Each and all that have atained rank has contributed to the scrolls herein kept. Just some scribe more then others.

Edit: OK did what I should have before, did a search.

kvell = 'to be delighted'

"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards."
"Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding.
"After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."

Yes, it's Yiddish, the greatest language in this world for expressing mental states and nuances of human nature. I commend to the attention of one and all Leo Rosten's The Joys of Yiddish, a treasure trove of social commentary, linguistic history, lexical art, humor, and not a few stories which can be hijacked and tailored to fit NPCs.

I hope, by the way, that no one misconstrued the first message I placed on this scroll. I am delighted to have reached the rank of "Learned Scribe." This same day I posted a message with which, according to "The Hooded One," Ed agreed. I kvell even more!

I have a mouth, but I am in a library and must not scream.

Congradulations. I am certain that a fine lad such as yourself is absolutely deserving of said title. Yes indeed, most well deserved.

In fact, its so well deserved, one of my players will now perform for you!

Roll:9 Mod: +13
Total:22

The Halfling Bard Bran of Amn sings of happy days and further development of ones character as he strums his lute

"At what temperature does a Goblin boil?"
"Any Rakshasa should eat a healthy diet that is high in wood elf, and low in shield Dwarf. One must always watch those cholesterol levels."
"If a Svirfneblin falls in the underdark, does anybody care?"
