Pardon my admiration, but I've been looking for a site like this one for quite some time. By quite some time I mean I got hung up at the official Wizards website saying "NO DAMN YOU, I DON'T HAVE ANY MORE MONEY TO BUY ANY MORE FORGOTTEN REALMS BOOKS!"
I'm sure you fellows are rather exhausted of hearing new folk such as myself saying this but, "Hello everyone".
Let me say I'm quite pleased to be here, and I hope you do not find my quasi-bardic tendencies too annoying.
Well, It'll be interesting if I do not get flamed for posting about myself, but I am currently dming for a FR campaign. Good old, classic party during the year of wild magic, currently in the Cormyr area (dhedluk). I'm not in dire need of it, but it would be fascinating to hear of any campaigns more experienced chaps such as yourselves may have tailored for the Cormyr area. Currently I have a slight conspiracy going one with Jezz the lame and the Zhentarim training the orcs and goblins of the kings forest in the art of stealth.
Ok you could simply shut me up for using so much bandwith (I get it a lot, so I honestly don't mind).

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

It appears I have come to the right place.
For the first question, Sir Luther Cromwell is a name for one of my characters. The name might ring a bell or two since whenever making characters I sometimes have a habit of taking intesting names from history, Such as Martin LUTHER (wrote the 95 theses) and Oliver CROMWELL (leader of the first english republic), and slap them together.
Ah, The zhents training orcs (and do tell me whether this works and what you think). Well actually, technically not the zhents but actually the drow from cormanthor. You see, with the rising of Bane from the Demon Xvim the Zhents are obviously looking to do some conquest of their own, particularily the regions with typically more Chondathan people. Sembia, however rich and in possesion of many influencial nobles, would not be able to fight off bane. The Dalelands, however in possesion of some strong people and known for their ability to take on impossible odds, if surrounded would eventually fall, especially if the zhents can forge an alliance with thay and the shades (which they plan to). But there still lies one problem: Cormyr.
One must remember, it was Azoun the fourth that lead such a great army to defeat the tuigan horde. The zhents remember this well, since some of their own orcish mercenaries were part of Azoun's army. Azoun is now dead, but his daughter Alusair may prove to be a problem. So how will they deal with her?
Jezz the lame, Cormanthor's drow leader, seeks to claim the king's forest. He respects the fact that the king's forest was actually part of Cormanthor wood. Jezz wants to put as much of a dent in both the spider-kissers and the light skinned elves as possible. The zhents until now had only had erratic sucess employing the goblins and orcs of cormanthor wood and the stone lands. But with an influencial figure such as Jezz the Lame, the orcs were suddenly much more willing to listen.
Jezz has now taught the goblins and orcs how to take advantage of the impressively tall trees of the kings forest. The zhentarim have offered to give Jezz safe passage through hillsfar, and over to the kings forest to do so. They also have said that if he should wish so, he may have possesion of cormyr. Jezz doesn't entirely trust the zhents (as neither does any one), but for now a temporary dark alliance is in his favor.
And so now the players are situated in the twon of Dhedluk, trying to piece together how and why the goblins and orcs are so well trained. Jezz now looks to the portal on the outskirts of Dhedluk that leads right to the royal court in suzail.
