I pray that such incidents won't happen again as it well....sort of an inconvenience to me when I can't acess. By the way, can I inquire how is the investigations going? |
We have fostered trust, recruited loyalty, and gathered the faithful. We have trained thousands. Our legions can cover the land, fill the sky and travel through the darkness. We can hunt any and all that would deny our heritage. Now is our time, now is the time of the Dark Reign(Rain) of the Empire of Shadows. - High Prince Telemont Tanthul, Lord Shadow In a speech given to the citizens of Shade Enclave At the celebration of the Shinantra Battle victory when he revealed that he was THE Lord Shadow of legend. |

Unfortunately, Candlekeep was unavailable from 13th April at 23:30GMT until approximately 14th April 09:00GMT. The reason for this is not yet known but investigations are underway.
Apologies for any inconvenience.
Considering how this is a non-corporate site that is more reliable than the vast majority of company sites of a similar nature, I don't think you have anything to apologize for.
As for the reason...the last WOTSQ novel in which Lolth returns comes out, Candlekeep suffers a period of darkness.
You do the math Faerun folk.

Aye, I must put extra wards on those underdark passages and planar portals
All appears to be up and running again now, albeit a little slow (although this may just be from my connection). I'll provide an update as to the cause later today, hopefully. |

It was a tad disturbing to be unable to access the site - you'll have to clean out the library of all those pesky jermlaine.

Ah customer support...an oxymoron in and of itself. Hang in there Alaundo. No one blames you. Well one or two scribes do, but I'm sure they are just kidding. |

Well met
Not wishing to let the matter lie, I persisted to get a valid explanation... my efforts paid off... the server downtime was due to problems following implementation of the latest security patches from Microsoft.
All is well now, and appears back to full speed also |

This seemed to have effected other places as well. The mods over on the boards that must not be named believe this was also what was causing them problems in the last few days. :) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Hmmmm, that's very interesting. Thank ye for bringing this information over, kuje. I'd be interested to hear any follow up on this matter and how widely this "fix" caused problems. |

Don't get me started...
I've had the opportunity to see the core components of the Windows APL. With the amount of loopholes still within the framework, I'm surprised security violations don't happen more often.
