So I tossed my old, not nearly suitable three shelve bookshelves and upgraded to five shelvers. On top of that, I orders 4 more shelves (3 of which are going inside my closet) to get organized with my comics, AD&D books, and video tapes. I'm feels quite accomplished.

That looks nice SirUrza! Nice looking Book shelves are great. I really took a shine to the house I purchased when I saw it had built in book shelves.

I've got five full-size bookshelves like that accross the back wall of my living room. The lowermost shelf on each is game books and magazines, and the upper four shelves are all paperbacks. In front of is where I display my action figures and such -- some GI Joe, some Simpsons, some Muppets, some Star Wars, some Todd MacFarlane, some Evas, some Shadowrun Duels, and some other stuff (Robotech, Kitsune and Naru from Love Hina, and miscellaneous others)... On top of those shelves is a bunch of Star Wars vehicles.

Scattered around my apartment are 7 half-size shelves, covered with books, manga, DVDs, some VHS, and more toys -- and I need at least two more of those shelves. And there's one that's almost but not quite full-sized, and that's where the bulk of my game books are kept.

I won't even get into how many toys and such are around my computer...

But I do love having enough room for all of my books and such.

Goddamn, SirUrza! From that picture, how much money did you spend on FR books?! I saw at least like a dozen hardcover FR novels, including ones that I didn't even know were released in hardcovers...

What you didn't see was behind the RA Salvatore collection books, I have the 3 new Dark Elf Hardcovers (and my Paths of Darkness hardcovers.)

And yes, my Cormyr and Evermeet hardcovers are my pride and joy, right next to my Advanced Reader's Edition of Thousand Orcs (which is what the thin tradepaperback next to Annihilation is.) :)

As for how much money, I prefer to buy things as hardcover when they come out. *shrugs*

Very nice, I'm running out of storage space at home but at least what I do have is organised.

What is the title of that Salvatore behemoth on the upper left top shelf? It looks like it's 3" thick! Heh.

I've got just as many books, but am not nearly as organized as your shelves are. Paperback fan myself. I never could get into hards.

Hardcovers are just too damn expensive... I learned that "hard" lesson myself from buying the WotSQ series. Nearly went broke at $35 per copy. Lol.

Actually I just kinda through everything up. Behind the Harper series is the realms of books (in order.)

Which one? All those think RA Salvatore books on the top shelf are Collector's Editions. They publish all his novels from each "series" in 1 big book.

That's why you gotta by them when they're 20% off (release week) and have a $5 coupon, and a bookclub discount (oh and a credit card that you collect points for more coupons to bookstores!) :)

So organised...

You almost want to reach into those photos and mix a few of those books around just for some fun... .

And, judging by the second photo... I see you have an original copy of the Secret Wars saga. Good stuff .

Pretty funny Sage. The devil in me said the same thing. Now I would take out Harper Series number eight, and put it in with The Cleric Quintet. Then take Streams of Silver, and put it with the Harper Series in place of book 12..etc..etc..etc....Then see how long it takes Sir Urza to figure it out.

Guys, guys... You're missing a great opportunity here!

Step 1: Take all the hardcover books.

Step 2: Remove the dust jackets.

Step 3: Randomly mix up the books and dust jackets. *

Step 4: Put them back on the shelves.

Step 5: Sit back and watch the fun!

* For added amusement, put the books in the jackets upside-down.

A very good friend of mine, the reason I am here actually, made some adjustments to his basement! Instead of the usual table style setting he created a standing arena in his basement! He had his father (a mason) create almost a fully operational dungeon, all of the walls are carved away to fit everything in his collection! When you walk into that basement you feel as if you are actually on a battle field, so much atmosphere! It is made up of jagged granite and marble! A black stone was used at the foot of the stairs and in it is carved the name of the room..."Gavrels tomb"

Sorry Wooly Sojourn is no longer on the market. Crossgen went bankrupt if I am not mistaken.

Really? That draws vacuum... Did they at least finish the titles, or did it end abruptly, like some of the DC/TSR titles?

Thats right. I'm not sure which issue was the last as I only picked up the four trade paperbacks. I hate it when that happens, a story left unfinished like that Still, thats the way of the comic world, theres many times that companies have just stopped a comic series dead mid-story. Imagine if WotC just ended a novel trilogy after book 2! It's no different and it makes me soooo maaaaaad

Yeap, Crossgen went out of business and the story was left open. A lot of great comics suffered similiar fates or worse, the creator(s) got distracted by another project and abandoned the titles or industry...

Battle Chasers
Soul Saga (*moans*)
Sojourn (bankrupt)
Avengelyne (bankrupt)
Lady Death
Purgetori

Blah!

Battle Chasers had potential... Sojourn was, by far, the best fantasy comic I have ever read (outside of the DC/TSR titles, of course! ). The artwork was fantastic, and the characters and setting were both intriguing. The plot was interesting, too...

As I say, it draws much vacuum that that particular comic is no longer around...

But you know, I may just have to make NPC versions of the characters...

A D20 Arwyn would certain be interesting. Some combination of Order of the Bow Initiate and Peerless Archer I'd guess.
