I know the library is in the abyss, can anyone tell me if it has been located in any of the books?

Cormyr and Cormanthyr are two different places, aren't they? I don't have my Atlas with me (someone's borrowing it). And besides, how could it be in the Abyss?

Cormanthyr is forest and a former realms of the Elves while Cormyr is a nation near Sembia and the Dales... Totally different.

I never heard of a Library in Cormyr of any special value. But there is the Great Library of Cormanthyr. It was buried behind Myth Drannor, kept by an evil wizard, i don't remember well the end but i think it disapeared in an other plane...

I believe there is a great library in Arabel or Suzail (cant for the life of me remember which one it is, although im sure its Suzail), that contains all the kingdoms history amongst other lore of the Realms.

Definitely Suzail. Arabel is still very much a frontier town... making it a wonderful place to begin campaigns.
