Hello-
I dont know for sure when I will be able to get any. Last weekend was the pre-release tourney here - and due to some financial snafus - was not able to attend. However - tomorrow is the Release tourney - and I will be going. The copies coming to work are still to-be-shipped - but I have been saving some store credit for those! :) Perhaps I will have a dozen or so boosters sometime soon-ish.
I will be willing to trade with onyone, wherever - as long as we can come to an agreement. Also - this would extend to older sets as well.
My checklist is available for email attachment to anyone who wants to peek at what I have.

I am collecting the D&D Minis. I would be more than willing to trade with people. You can send me a PM here with your email listed - and I can send you my minis list. Thanks!

Hello-
I played in the release tourney today.
I placed 15th.
Out of 19.
And 3 people left after the 1st or 2nd round.
:)
I did not get a great selection of minis - but I had fun - got the epic stat card, the limied d20 - as well as the Barghest repaint they had at the pre-release - as they had more - and I had not been able to make it to the event.
My 2 rares:
Hierophant of the Seventh Wind Shadowbane Inquisitor
Still dont have any minis in at work yet. :(

| I hope this new Drizzt set kills the collector's value of the original Drizzt figurine. A year ago.. $50... today $75. Retarded. |

Hello-
The other day at work - I had an 'epiphany' (sp?) ---
With WOTC's desire to link mini sets with similarly-times book-releases - I wonder if we will get anything out of Anuaroch by Mr reynolds... like perhaps - a Phaerim? :) pretty-please? :) LOL

| But if they do a Phaerimm (which I would love), they have to do a Sharn as well . . . wait, they probably won't, so as not to confuse Eberron fans who would think that its some kind of miniature city . . . |

| So, how do you guys feel about DDM 2.0? In case you missed it, the cards from Unhallowed on will be updated to 4E, available for download on the website, along with a selection of 60 minis from previous sets. That's 180 out of 815 minis to be updated, not too bad, but it doesn't seem like it would be too much to ask for them to update cards for all of the minis. As of now, my group is sticking with 3.5, I don't play the skirmish game, and I can still use the minis, so I am kind of neutral about it. |

The Desert of Desolation gallery is up: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mg/dod
What I like so far: Bruenor Battlehammer, a plain old warhorse (Yes!), a crocodile, a Shakar-Kai Assassin, and a farmer. There are two cool looking dwarves, both sahuagin are nice, and the yuan-ti look good. I like the new look of the ogre and the naga, some of the other "revised" monsters I'm not too crazy about.

Yes, some of them have a interesting visual. I like of the nagas, too, and the umber hulk. Now, the merchant guard can pass as a Tyrran fighter, or cleric. :)
Aaaand, of course, I want those dwarves! |

| On a side note, I notice that the minis with swords seem to all have the little plastic reinforcements to keep the weapon from being bent out of shape in the box. I know I've seen alot of people complain about the plastic being wraped when they open the cases, but this is a total waste IMO. I would much rather dip some minis into hot water than have to pay 14.99 a pack for them. Am I crazy or wasn't Harbinger 9.99 a pack? |

I'm just hoping that not too many "new" looks are incompatible with 3.5, since I don't plan on switching and I may still pick up some minis. The hydra is too small for a 3.5 hydra, but it could work as a dungeonbred hydra from Dungeonscape.
The hellsword looks like it will work pretty well as a half fiend whatever extraction you need it for (though I think, from what was said, cambions are also switching to the Hellish side of things . . . ::sigh::).

I don't mind the looks being incompatible as much as the size, which as you mentioned with the hydra could pose a problem. The second preview was much more satisfying to me, the minis are good looking and edition neutral. |

| I picked up a full set of Dungeons of Dread and I've got to say that this is a beautiful set of minis. Also, the non-random minis in the starter set are nice as well, except for the green dragon, which is realy stupid looking. The red and silver from the main set are very similar to the 3e look, with the silver being the best looking large dragon to date, IMO. The cards are completely useless to me, I don't play the miniatures game, and the rpg stats may as well have been written in Cantonese for all I can make of them. |

Most of the red dragons I've come across are damaged though because of the new package. Don't like.
