Going off Shoes text in P1 it looks like theres 3 Dragons and a Half Dragon in Night Below
My moneys on the following
Large White (No brainer its been previewed) Large Shadow (Its on the Night Below Box art) Large Gold (Leaked by a mini artist a while ago)
The Half Dragon I reckon will be either the Hobgoblin/Half Dragon from Red Hand of Doom or the Half Dragon Lich from Eberron
Return to Tomb of Horror? Has to be the Demi Lich!
Edit the hint is 3 and 3 halves so it might be 3 Half dragons
Id put money on the following
Hobgoblin/Half Dragon from Red Hand of Doom Elven Half Dragon Lich from Eberron Nimor Imphraezel Drow Half Shadow Dragon from WOSQ |

| Hm . . . Guard of Mithril Hall, Wulfgar, Aspect of Loviatar, and the Alhoon (okay, so it showed up in Lords of Madness, they were our illithiliches first). Then again, I like the cerebrilith myself . . . even if it isn't Realms specific. |

It's Realms-specific for me: my players just accidentally released one from a Narfelli site beneath the Forest of Lethyr. Just wait until they find out what it has planned.... ;)

The new Drizzt is a great improvement. I'm guessing they're going with the Star Wars approach - "Drizzt, Drow Ranger" and "Drizzt Do'urden" will be different models with different stats (like "Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight" and "Luke Skywalker, Hero of Yavin".
Oh, hang on, that's the DDM approach too - Tordek, Dwarf Fighter/Dwarf Champion etc... |

I guess they must have jumped ahead to July already because they have staff gone next week for Independance Day? I was a little confused at first when I noticed the "this month" and "last month" ads on the side.
I'm liking this set so far. I've liked various figures in recent lines, but this one feels a little more substantial across the board, at least for my tastes. |

Well - i can't say I'm Surprised - but I guess I also would not have known....
As for me - I dont think I would ever use it... but it will be interesting to see what it looks like - maybe preview pics will be at GenCon...

| I wanted to throw this out there for any of you guys who use the minis strictly for RPG purposes. I found some little dinosaurs in the toy aisle at Wal-Mart called Plasma Dinosaurs. They come in an egg with some gooey looking stuff and you have to put them together, but I found if you snip off the ball joints and glue on the legs etc. they fit right in on my shelf o' huge minis. I've been thinking about a campaign set in Chult and was looking for some dinosaurs that would fit the bill and these work perfectly. |

There's been some discussion about this one possibly being a set like the Drizzt, Wulfgar, and Icingdeath set. That would probably interest me more.
I know about the Drizzt set, but what I was referring to was that Orcus isn't that "iconic" to D&D IMHO.
What would be iconic to D&D, again IMO, would be a diorama of the old Elmore painting of the lone fighter facing off a red dragon that crowned the cover of the old red boxed set from 20 years back. |

I don't know, between the old Bloodstone series and the Dead Gods storyline in Planescape, Orcus has been a pretty active guy, not to mention that he is always thrown into the "big three" of demon lords (Demogorgon, Graz'zt, and, well Orcus).
I was wondering if the Orcus in question is going to be based on the cover picture from Throne of Bloodstone. |

Really? Wow, that's odd to me, I definitely think he's an icon of the game, I just don't foresee much use for this mini. I was trying to convey in my post that I wouldn't have any use for a Gargantuan Orcus, but a set like the aforementioned Drizzt & Co. set would be cool. |

According to Linae the brand manager for the minis line some of the info on the Amazon site is wrong but she wont say what
Also apparently some or all of the contents of the Orcus icon set will be shown at Gen con
Im hoping its the size
If their continueing with the FR theme in the Icons line then we might get Gareth Dragonsbane and his party from the H series of modules (H4 Throne of Bloodstone involves the players traveling to the Abyss so they can steal the wand of Orcus and destroy it)
Other potential themes are
Aspect of Orcus vs Aspect of Demogorgon (maybe with some early Demons like the Vrock)
Aspect of Orcus vs Aspect of Grazzt (maybe with some early Demons like the Vrock)
Aspect of Orcus vs Aspect of Kiaransalee (Probably with some Drow themed minis)

That would be awesome! For me the most iconic image of D&D is the cover of the AD&D player's handbook. That would be a diorama I would jump for.
As I said...iconic Stuff that sticks to ones mind even after years and years. The Elmore painting does that for me, it is a true icon.
I'm not talking importance of a character/monster to the game world, but a picture that almost everybody remembers, and for me that's this dragon/fighter image, because this made me dream of all the adventures back when I barely knew the game, it did have that power over me. Hence an icon. |
