| It's done. Tossed in a vote for Arilyn, Liriel, and Manshoon. |

Its a WOTC survey
For the aspects I threw in votes for Malkzid, Eltab, and Bazim-Gorag, since I thought some outsider, non-deity, aspects might be a cool addition to the line.
I also voted for Cale, Khelben, and Halaster for NPCs.
So, George, if you are reading this, what are the odds that you would break down and get an Eltab mini? |

Fire Giant Forgepriest . . . evil, evil mini designers. I always have had a thing for giants, especially fire giants. |

| Horay for Storm, can't wait to see the picture. No offence to the Old Sage, but Storm is nicer to look at. |

Hello-
From going to the Minis seminar at GenCon I gleaned some of the following info on rarity-distribution choices:
Some of the decision on how rare a mini is is based on the power of the mini, and the relative rarity of the creature in D&D.
However, greater emphasis seems to be put on 'production costs'.
A mini that has several pieces, which each need to be molded - and then connected - is more expensive than a single-mold mini. Also - a mini with a more intricate paint scheme increases the costs. Look at WotSQ minis: The Purple Worm, and the Huge Fire Elemental are both good examples of multi-piece figures, but with fairly simple paint schemes.
I would guess that any mounted mini is probably a couple of separate parts, and that the details of the rider (weapons, face, etc.) increase the difficulty of the painting.
Dont get me wrong - I'd Love to have some more mounted figures!
Just thought a little insight would help on this count.
As an aside - they mentioned at the seminar - that the Purple Worm in particular was a great value due to its piece count. It sounded to me like they may have origianlly wanted to make it a rare, but bumped it to uncommon for whatever reason.

I am collecting the D&D Minis. I would be more than willing to trade with people. You can send me a PM here with your email listed - and I can send you my minis list. Thanks!
Successfully traded with Xysma! |

| Aparently its a complexity issue mounted minis tend to have more paint steps than wizards have costed for an uncommon hence all mounted minis are rare |
