I am going to be runing a game that starts in calimshan (calimport prolly) any insight, info, history, or ideas on this area is much appreciated, great to be on these boards, peace

If you want specific help or info, we need specific questions. 
Do a search on Calimshan and Calimport as topics among the boards here and if that doesn't give you enough info to work with to start, let us know what interests or confuses you.
As one of the primary causes of confusion and clarification of lands south of the Greenfields, I may be quite likely to leap on any info-grenades that get lobbed.

And while Steven hides that bonfire of his under a very inadequate bushel, you might consider tracking down and getting copies of his two 2E FR products: "Empires of the Shining Sea" and "Calimport". They will give you an absolute ton of information.

thx bookwyrm for the link bookwyrm, I am setting up my game to begin in calimport. Anyone ever run a game based on chronomancy? im thinkin of starting something up useing a high lvl chronomancer as the main antagonist. thx again for info, peace |

 Thanks for the ego-massage, George.
Just wish I knew of some jobs down under that would allow me to emigrate for a few years on a work visa, if only to belly up to the bar with a few of you stalwart Aussies.
