Hi-

Wow, what a cool place this is, I like it here. As for me, my name is Scott and I am currently running a 3.5 D&D FR campaign in Westgate. I live in Chicago and just returned from a tour in Iraq. I'm an MP in the United States Army and enjoy it very much! Talk about real world adventure!
Anyway, I'm most likely lurk, I'm not a very good writer even though I DM but I would hate to subject people to my terrible sentance structures and what not.

Lastly, Thank you Ed Greenwood for making a great world, your efforts are apprecieated!

Scott

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Hi-

thanks for the nice welcome, I never liked WoTC's FR site just because it seem's if the mods dont like a posting they tend to delete it plus you really, really had to becareful on what types of subjects to post.
Well, back to writing my goofy FR adventure.

Yup, I know well how those boards can get. I'd amassed several hundred posts (perhaps even a thousand), generally trying to be as helpful as I could. And yet, for a couple of times obliquely touching a forbidden topic (I used the word novel!), I was banned.

These forums are far more welcoming. The mods rule with a light touch, and most people are fairly friendly. We have more of a community here, as opposed to the chaotic mob over there.

Well met, Sergeant of the Guard, and welcome to Candlekeep

I hope ye enjoy thy stay herein and learn much new knowledge and Realmslore.

Apologies for my late arrival, I trust my fellow scribes have shown ye to thy desk and made ye feel quite at home

Welcome Sergeant!
Don't worry Alaundo, we gave him the special desk. You know, the one in the dungeon basement with the torture writing devices that will keep him busy for awhile.

Huh?
I see Alaundo has been at the bottle again. Crazy man, dwarf, crazy man, dwarf. I guess, if you squint real hard!
