I recall mentioning that in my first post about the novel after I read it. Besides the writer actually having a life (though why FR writers aren't chained in a room with a computer next to George R.R. Martin and J.K. Rowling shows how soft our society has become), I think part of the reason for the wait is how much this series might advance the timeline.

                      | Console yourselves with this thought: Ed of the Greenwood has a first draft of Book 2 in his hands right now, so it WILL appear eventually. Smile at this addendum: although he of course won't tell me one word of what's in it and I won't ask (both of us like to pretend to be professionals for almost an hour a day ), thus far: he's liking it. A lot. THO

 Oh my. Ahem, indeed.

Just how many times was this line used in Ed's campaigns?

                      | For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Use the Plinth--nice and open and easily accessible to all. Besides, how else d'you think The Watch got its name?

As much as I'm enjoying all this play, perhaps we should steer back on topic before Big Al comes in... |

 Well met

 Aye
In fact, I think i'll put this scroll away, as we already have a fair scroll for discussion of the mighty fine tome of Forsaken House. |
