Theron here (it's my real name), posting from the environs of Houston, TX. It seems that a Realms resume is in order.
I bought the Gray Box the day it hit the bookstore where I worked. Since then, Faerun has always held a special place in my heart despite its quirks. Since then, I've accumulated approximately six metric tons of Realms stuff*. In the past, I've participated in the Realms-L mailing list off and on, RPGnet (a thing of the past for me, don't ask), and ENWorld. Since I seem to be in the process of starting up something for some friends and am looking to set it in the Realms, I figured I'd camp out here for a while to see what sorts of inspiration I can glean.

Welcome to Candlekeep! 
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!
