Thanks Wooly This has been one of my favorite pieces of Realmslore from the WotC site, by far! I still wish that Nimbral would receive some meaty coverage in an FR sourcebook, I would very much like to see some art of the land to add that little extra flavor. |

Exactly what I was thinking when reading some of these articles. I wish that WOTC could add one image to each article. But, with the articles being free, I guess that is probably not an option. |

The articles that do get artwork usually get artwork that can readily be ignored... Most articles, when I save them to Word, I make a point of removing the image, because it doesn't do anything for me. |

I may have imagined it but I'm vaguely convinced I read somewhere there were going to be eight parts. Also, add one to the list of scribes who saves interesting lore in an ever increasing collection of Word documents. |
Life is either daring adventure or nothing. |

This has been quite a remarkable sub-series of Realmslore articles. I've never ran a campaign in Nimbral before, but I must admit, aftering re-reading through the amount of fluff in these articles, I'm starting to formulate a series of adventures now.
Investigating the nature of these Nimbral Lords sounds intriguing...
I wonder whether future RL articles will be concentrating on some of the lesser detailed "island" realms...?

Quite! I'm very impressed with this part of the Realmslore series, and prefer it out of all the other subjects. Of course, i've been wanting more information for some time on Nimbral, and this doesn't disappoint. The only thing missing is artwork and maps |

I was just thinking exactly the same thing. It's such a shame that no maps were provided. Perhaps, with the limited geographic details provided in the articles, we may be able to generate an approximate rendering of the island nation.

Hmmm, maybe our resident master of cartography - Yack, could help us all out here
It would have been nice, however, to see images of the various settlements and countryside of Nimbral, i'm quite intrigued by these "fairytale" castles and woodlands. On that point, is it actually possible to have "fairytales" in a world such as the Realms where fairies actually exist and any creature and story is possible? |

That would be nice. Perhaps someone might query EG in his thread to see if he has been approached to possibly write such articles in the future.

You're getting stuff for free online mi lord. You draw your own stick figures.
The lesser detailed regions that are not going to be addressed any time soon in a sourcebook would be excellent ideas for a continuing online series. Here's hoping from Candlekeep's lips to WOTC's ears. |

Greetings,
My fellow monks of candlekeep, is not often that a place of legend, a land that is regard as a myth become the focus of my work, but how can this humble cartographer turn aside this opportunity?
I will start my travels tonight, and keep all monks posted using the this scribe board with the journal annotations of my travels, at the same time please feel free of point to any lore tome you come across that have information of the land as well as correcting my work and notes, as my eyes are not what they use to be.
Sincerely,
Yack Tundra |

That would be great, Yack! Do you have access to the Forgotten Realms Atlas by Karen Wynn Fonstad? Thats the only map I have seen of Nimbral. |

Well one of the things on my wishlist has been a sourcebook detailing the Island Nations and isles of the Realms. There are numerous to detail of various sizes and these have always received very little information in campaign books and other regional sourcebooks. |

Well met
Thank ye kindly, Yack. This would indeed be a great asset and valuable piece of lore for the library. Nimbral has been a treasure kept from us here at Candlekeep for many years, it would be wonderful to see a map of the island.
Please send thy work over to me and i'll ensure a place is made in the library forthwith.
Thank ye once again. |

There's a map of Nimbral in the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas. It can be saved from the program as a bitmap file, 45.3 KB, 800x600 -- though part of that is just empty white space.
I should be happy to donate this to the cause. I just need an e-mail addy to send it to. |

Only the old map in the link is the information I have, but is not inspected after reading Mr. Greenwood article, and is mostly done with notes of obscure characters which trust may be... questionable.
http://www.modalt.com/data/Nimbral.jpg
In order of making an accurate one a travel is in order, and any help in the form of lore, maps or notes may be send to hillmann@bellsouth.net the resulting map will be send to our moderator, Alaundo.
Thanks,
Yack |

Well, the map of Nimbral in the Interactive Atlas is quite similar to the one you linked above -- I suspect the latter is based on the former. Naetheless, I shall send it along to you. |

Yah!
We're told that we are to learn about the Knights of Nimbral in the next article.
Happy Sage .
I'm looking forward to the next article as this peaked my interest since the initial installment. I'm very happy that this particular article at WotC is running for at least 7 installments.... just as Nimbral deserves |

I hope it becomes a semi-regular trend actually. Four articles about a specific piece of Realmslore is always good... but at least seven articles worth is definitely better...
